No. I was thinking about how HT should/would/could go about giving us both the cyberdine and damaged looks. My 1st thought was a dx figure with everything you need but once you start listing that stuff it's gets to be too much.

So therefore I came to a conclusion

2 new seperate figures, a cyberdine and a battle damaged.

Though it would be cool if they released the cyberdine accessories as a kind of accessory set. Something like the Tony Stark suit. The difference between the cyberdine and regular version is just a few weapons. I bet people would prefer to look to ebay for the loose weapons rather than paying for a full figure.

There's obviously the partially damaged look he has between cyberdine and the steel mill but you can't argue with only the 3 main looks being released!

You're right, even for a DX theres so much they'd need to include to be able to get Cyberdyne and the 2 degrees of battle-damage from the steel mill. Plus the cost of PERS, light-up eye etc. It does seem very doubtful.

The cyberdyne accessory set is a really good idea. I think that'd be a pretty good solution for those not wanting to have to buy another whole figure. Say it'd have the bandolier fully equipped with grenades, the M79 launcher, the mini-gun and ammo bag...and maybe also an alternate bullet-riddled jacket.

I don't see them putting out T2 figures that obsolete previous releases, I really think if anything, they'll make other releases feel necessary and unpassable.

Yeah and that could be the shotgun, ungloved hands and shotgun. Only time will tell.

Speaking of Sarah Connor, I wonder if Hot Toys would make a Pescadero Escape Sarah Connor, bare foot and all. Maybe throw in that denim jacket she jacks at the garage too.

Or who knows, if they're afraid that that version of Sarah and John Connor wouldn't sell, maybe an exclusive and/or expensive limited 2 pack.

Something tells me that there's not going to be this many generics of T2, I hope I'm wrong but all this sounds very wishful thinking. As a big fan of T2, I hope I'm wrong.

I hope for the drugged up Sarah Conner in the prison as well.

Forgot about the gloved hands yeah. Not a stretch I don't think. Damn good thinking. Again though I'd probably be a sucker and buy a whole other figure if they didn't go that accessory set route.

Betcha if we get 2 more whole figures, one of them will be some kind of extra limited edition like the T-1000 Sarah connor disguise mad.

I can't remember if there are bullet holes in his pants too, probably not because of the risk of what that could expose . You could also add small things he had contact with but aren't key, like the rod he snaps his arm off with and is impaled by.

I'd love a Pescadero/enrique's camp Sarah Connor. HT/Neca, just someone make it. I know theres a good custom based on the SS figure but I dunno....customs are just rarely as satisfying to me. And as for John Connor, he just seems essential now. I really hope HT take the risk. Surely they make enough money to absorb any loss they might make on this one figure.

Bolded items are things we really should've gotten already (if not, we oughta be guaranteed them in the next release).

I really want that rod you mention. The one the T-1000 beats him up with and then impales him with. You'd think it'd be easy to find something around the house that looks like it but it just isn't.

I also wouldn't mind getting the control box for the chains that lower him into the molten steel.

Only other thing I can think of is the machine gun he uses (also taken from the SWAT team) to riddle the T-1000 with bullets when he jumps onto the Liquid Nitrogen truck.

Don't know the name of the machine gun but that would pretty much be it. In fact, they could just throw in the one they gave Sarah Connor.

That's just it, it's the same machine gun MMS119 Sarah comes with, there's like a rack of them in the back of the van. While you could pack it with a T-800, I'm really more keen on them making things that aren't available with any figure.

It's not only the amount of items that would seemingly make it unrealistic for HT to do a DX covering both cyberdyne and BD looks, it's the body as well. The BD version would need that exposed leg and chest showing. How could that be done if it was intended for use as a cyberdine version as well?

You can add interchangeable left leg and chest piece to that list

You're right theres just no way they're putting all thats left to do into one DX figure. They'll either make 2 more figures, perhaps one a limited MMS and the other a DX, or they'll only do the BD DX figure and we'll be left to fend for ourselves on ebay if we want to acquire the bits and pieces necessary for our own approximation of the Cyberdyne look.

If it feels like the Cyberdyne Systems T-800 has too many accessories then the Smoke Grenade Launcher can be pending or given to the Battle Damaged version.
