Aren't those just flash glares on the shiny armor? I thought bd at first too but then doublechecked the first page and he's squeaky clean.

I don't want to quote the whole first page pic, but if you look at the close up pic of the chest piece, you can see his shoulder pads has somewhat of a minimal battle damage paint, it isn't the flash.

I'd agree, although it's less "battle damage" and more just weathering.

Yeah, the Mark VI is not a question of if, but of when. BUT...the when might be a while down the road since they want to sell the IV. If they announce the VI now a lot of people (including myself) might not even consider this one.
That's probably why its a limited release.

But there will definitely be a mark VI. It is after all just a slightly repainted version of this figure with a different chestpiece.

I have to stop coming to this thread, every visit makes me want it more and more!!

when i know i should just hold out and wait for the V and VI

I wonder what the wrist articulation is like since none of the pictures show him "blasting" someone. Sorry couldnt think of a better way to put it. Because the wrist guards seem larger so I wonder how difficult it would be to get that kind of pose (similar to the kotobukiya statue if you dont know what I mean)

I really wasn't planning on getting this because design wise it's too close to the Mark III....BUT this is some seriously insane engineering from Hot Toys. That second pic pose looks INCREDIBLE.

Still will probably wait for either the Mk V or VI, but it's going to be tough...

Every single product Hot Toys has ever made is "limited".

One big stumbling block HT might run into later on is the size disparity between the bulkier Mark IV and VI armor compared to the Mark V (the suitcase armor). The Hot Toys Mark IV is a bit too slim, but not overly so. However, it's closer in size to the Mark V as seen in the film.

It's fairly obvious that the suitcase armor is a slimmer fit and is overall thinner in form factor.

What happens when HT makes their Mark V figure? The Mark IV figure looks about the size the suitcase armor looks (judging from internal proportions from the trailer) in the shown footage so far. Will HT's Mark V figure be the same size as their Mark IV and VI? Or will it be smaller? I can't imagine the latter because he'd be too small compared to other 1/6 figures.

Mark IV looks pretty thick here.

Got it from this video.

Im curious the mark V1 is lighter red color right, besides the triangle chest plate what's the difference in these suits.

Seeing this IM is seriously making me reconsider preordering that Whiplash now. This line looks freaking awesome and each piece is just getting better and better.

hey guys just noticed this

"imagine a pic with green circles around the forearm missiles and the bottom 'design' logo"

i thought it looked odd for some reason! its photo shopped!
man i hope they make it look good, but im not expecting this good anymore..

The Mark IV will always look thicker when there is someone in it but in the film they CGI it to look slimmer. They did the same with the first film. People need to understand that HT is going for what you'll see in the film not what you'll see in the behind the scenes or production sneaks.

people Iron God has spoken :lecture :D
