Well, I tried playing it tonight.

I started with the Marine campaign and it was problems galore.

I had some weird purple squares on some of the walls and none of the Aliens would die.
Didn't matter how many times I shot them they would not die!

Got to the part of the first level where I meet up with Tequila and get the pulse rife.
One of the unkillable Aliens made it into the room and she emptied here rifle into it, it WOULD NOT DIE! It just sat there and then the game froze.

So, I'v uninstalled it and am trying a reinstall. We'll see...

That's gotta suck. I've been reading elsewhere of other kinds of glitches with the PC version... not so much with the console games. Hopefully SEGA is already working on patches to remedy some of those issues.

Well, the uninstall/reinstall worked. No problems now.

Just got done with the Marine campaign.

All in all, not bad. Not quite as good as AvP2, but it was fun.

Definately hoping for an AvP4 game based on the Marine ending. :google

Wait until you see the Aliens ending :naughty

I just finished the Marine's campaign, is good but was kinda hoping for more. Didn't take too long to get through it and I did my first playthrough on Hard too.

That and I cracked up
Spoiler Spoiler:

Re-map it then, I always do :lol
I remap the entire control scheme around the numerical keys at the far right of the keyboard. Makes it so much easier.

Good to hear you got things sorted out. I'm still waiting for my game to arrive while you guys are having all the fun!

What interests me most about AvP is getting to play as the Xeno and Predator. For the ultimate Colonial Marines action game I still have my sights set on Aliens: Colonial Marines.

Playing the Predator campaign now.

I'm really surprised by

Oh you will ;) I've completed all three campaigns

it mostly makes the game no fun because you have to keep restarting at the same checkpoints over and over.
and the pulse rifle is no help at all unless you're in tight corridors and there's like one alien after you.

That's because you're not an Ultimate Badass....

maybe. but the game got a whole lot easier when i got the smart gun.
there's no reason why i can't have it at the beginning. would've been more fun anyway.

Where is the fun in having a gun that kills almost instantly and can lock-on at the beginning of the game?

Did anyone else find themselves wishing that you could turn off the item location boxes for weapons and ammo etc. Found it ruined the believability a bit

Yes! Maybe the guns should be like extra shiny like they do in some games, not big yellow boxes around them
