Gotta say that I fell in love with my little Sam, had thought about selling him off since I was needing some money, but after opening him and messing around I decided to keep. Wasn't able to get the candy in his hand, and didnt wanna break it trying so he is holding his sac with his right hand.

Could someone please confirm this stuff for me?

I believe I've noticed some differences between the original batch and this batch:

  • In the first batch, both Sam's left and right arms have a bend to them. On the second batch, Sam's right arm (left if you're looking at him) is completely straight with no bend at the elbow.
  • The PJs are much dirtier on the second batch. There is a lot more black and the PJs appear more like they've been "weathered." The first batch is more subtle.
  • The "head sack" on the first batch has more dirt applied to it than on the second batch. Also, the width of the stitching on the "head sack" on the first batch appears to be wider.

Besides the arm, the rest could vary piece by piece. Can anyone else with first or second batches confirm what I'm saying about his right arm and an elbow bend?

Got mine today as well with a calendar, DVD and Jack cosbaby as well. THANK YOU Sideshow! :bow

I fought with them for about five minutes until I went looking for an alternative. Found some sort of wire cutter in the junk drawer.

That thing is a keeper.

I'd used scissors before in other extreme twist-tie situations (which is still not easy and bad for the scissors) but I've held onto these wire cutters for next time.

Not only are they easier than untwisting the ties the cut pieces also come through a lot easier as opposed to the spiral-shaped untwisted versions that can still give you trouble when removing the figure.

Buy and "Open It!" at Target. Its $10 and cuts right through twisty ties. Plus it has a knife and screwdriver. I use it all the time opening figures.

Yeah, you lasted longer than I did. I went about two minutes before I went for the wire cutters and just cut them all. :lol
