Next time you feel like you are being followed, go somewhere public, not home. If you are being followed in a car, go straight to a police station, not home. When you are at a red light, never stop as close as you can to the car in front of you, always leave yourself enough room to maneuver out there if you have to. Just little tips I've learned growing up in a inner city.

In all seriousness, if he's still outside contact the authorities immediately. Is there someone you can walk to class with tomorrow at 8:15?... Someone that lives nearby and can swing by on their way to class?-- Do you have any male friends who you can study with?... Give them a call, explain the situation and try to organize an inpromptu study group at your place tonight. The group dynamic might scare him away if he's still loitering somewhere.

:lecture :lecture

Call the police right away and report it, even if he's not there. The rest of that advice is solid also, see if you can get some friends together tonight, and see if you can walk to class with someone tomorrow.

Holy crap! What have you been into? :lol

If the guy is still there, outside your flat/dorm then definately call the police or security if you have them for the building IMMEDIATELY.

I'm sorry I know how scary it is. You need to do as peeps have mentioned. Ensure all your windows and doors are locked, do not open them for anyone and get your mum or someone to call every 30 mins at least for the next few hours.

Keep safe. You will get through tonight, just don't let this guy get to you so much because that will be what he is wanting.
Take care

Call the police immediately.

However, if your name is Sara and its a terminator you be ____ed.
True. You would've had a hard time making it out of the library if that was a terminator. . .unless this was one of the retarded terminators from Terminator: Salvation.

Come OOnnnn!! <--*said sounding like a donkey* If this girl had common sense, she would not be on SSF of all places typing us a police report, CALL THE POLICE..like long ass time ago, should have done this.

I don't know what picture Val posted (it was gone before I clicked into this thread) but I think he makes a lot of sense here (*shudder*); why is it that you are posting on a toy forum instead of calling the authorities and alerting your neighbors?

:dunno :huh :dunno

He’s not outside anymore.

We don’t have a campus police, and I won’t call the real police, unless the door bell rings again.

I thought I wouldn’t have to deal with this kind of thing in this town. The freaking police school is almost visible from my house! Not an insurance that a cop student will be ready to save me, but the nerve!

I don’t think I could have gone somewhere public before I went home. Not a lot of people out there, and I thought it would be better if I went home (while checking behind me of course).

Man, I really wish I had made some friends on campus. But I think I’m safe, at least going to school tomorrow, when several other students might come. I really hope he’s not stupid enough to try anything.

Second thought, I hope he’s brain damaged and attacks in broad daylight, in public.

I feel stupid. He asked for my last name. He lead the conversation onto living arrangements. It’s so sickening that he seems to be a pro. We talk and talked. He was a high school “teacher”, studying to be able to take teach higher grades, and we agreed on everything, and after he found out that I was a librarian he talk about books and the future of libraries. He asked me at first if I was studying teaching…

I took a break from writing this post and called the police, and now I’m back. No girls have been attacked by a similar man in a similar way, but I left details. I hope it ends here.

Well, as long as you are safe now. You can thank these guys below for showing up to your thread and hopefully comforting you through this whole ordeal.

Why do I post here? Why didn't I call the police? Alert the neighbours?

Answer:

I*M A SCARED LOSER WHO HAS NEVER BEEN IN A SITUATION LIKE THIS BEFORE AND I NEED TO FEEL SAFE.

No one can attack me here. If I go to my neighbours, he might jump me. I know it's cowardly, but I'm thinking about me right now.

I have now called the police, but you're right, I should have done that immediatly. Common sense or not, it's for the best, and I have done it now.

However, who can blame me for wanting to run to somewhere I'm safe? The Internet.

Thanks ofr the kick in the butt tough, calling the police was the right thing to do.

Ignore Valfar's stupid posts. If you genuinely did not know what to do, it was better to post here or somewhere similar for advice than to do nothing at all.

You should always call the authorities immediately in a situation such as yours, though. I hope that this experience has taught you that.

Glad you called them. At least they are now aware of the situation and hopefully this guy realized you were not going to invite him in and he has moved on....hopefully not to some other unsuspecting female.

It's easy to say what you SHOULD do in a situation like this, and it's a very different thing to BE in a situation like this, especially for the first time. Glad you are ok, and calling the police was a good thing to do.

Funny and terrifying thought:
What is this was the last anyone on the forum heard from me?

Okay, maybe not so funny, but I feel weird right now.

People joking about terminators when there's a crazy rapist outside my door.

Not that I didn't appreciate the jokes, on some level. I don't want the bastard to be able to make me forget how to laugh.

That's why I'm going to watch a comedy show right now. With loud volume (sorry neighbours). I won't let him scare me... That much.

I should really start saving up for self defense lessons instead of buying collectibles.
