paying to see star wars again for like the 12th time is still better than paying to see most movies for the first time.

I'm not a fan of 3D. I dont understand all the hype currently about 3D movies. Lucas really needs to make some new SW films and let these old ones go. Theres so much background story out there but Lucas has lost his touch.

Do you really think that is a good idea?

I will see them, for sure. Not surprising that Lucas is going this route either, it isn't like he is at a stage in which he will come out with any good original stories; so this may finally put him out to pasture.

I have no problem with it. And I'll take any excuse to see the OT in the theater again.

I disagree. I believe Lucas has a wonderful imagination / creativity but his ability to TELL stories is diminishing. I don't foresee him allow others to tell his stories so eh. I totally agree he will find a way to milk the old proven formula (original trilogy).

I hope he does it well. Avatar was a fun ride, I wouldn't mind watching SW (again) on the big screen with a new twist.

Semantics though really, if he doesn't turn over the reigns we won't see them - as good as they might be.

Star Wars in 3d will rock. This way, we see the long gun barrel of Greedo looking out at the audience, thus giving solo justifcation to shoot under the table (again). Bring on the fixes!!!!

Sounds like a plan to me...I wish Ridley Scott would revisit Alien & Blade Runner in 3D, Cameron would revisit Aliens. Then you have Predator, the Matrix films...If these films can be retrospectively converted to 3D then I'm all for it. The spectacle is amazing. It would even make the prequels watchable

Now people willl suffer major depression for not being able to live on Naboo...

I'm not either. I spend my entire life in 3D so I really don't care if my movies are that way or not.

You mean you've never had one eye closed before while the the other open ;)

I'm looking forward to all of my childhood movies coming out in 3D and hopefully my kids will be able to enjoy them in the theater just as much as I did when I was their age. (I don't have kids yet, but by the time these come out in 3d I probably will)
