What figure was it that they offered a regular one on, and then like a week later they offered an Ex.? Does anybody else remember that?

There's a photo thats vanished that I can no longer find. The one the 3 piece backing and glowing floor. It's amazing how real the figure looked in that shot.

Ultimately, I think I'm still a kid as a collector, and these are just the action figures of adulthood. Though I'd have been ecstatic if I had these as a kid.

Don't think you would have kept them in mint condition back then. You cherish them more as if they were a rare gem as you're older.

Thankfully they didn't come out when we were kids though, cause we wouldn't have been albe to afford them, and our parents wouldn't have bought them all for us. We'd be lucky to have gotten just this for Christmas probably.

They did it with the Clone Wars Anakin, but there was still a PPO announcement at the time the regular went up.

I'm sure HT is charging quite a bit for them and there's also the payment to Oak for Arnie's likeness. Plus the weak dollar.

Dealers like Alter Ego will charge 150 and make a decent profit. Toys2 has it priced at 159 and they are usually higher than SSC.

Sorry, Dave, but I just can't open that Pod door. :D

I love this figure, and I really like how his face looks here.

This is why I will no longer buy distributed product from SS unless it is a SS distributor exclusive. Reward Points be damned. You end up paying more so you really do pay for those discounts. Nothing is free. If you want to save money, especially in this economy, it pays to give the little guy your business. Alter Ego FTW.

That's the ticket! I usually go through Alter Ego or Most Wanted Collectibles.

I do subscribe to the idea of there being a wire in the jacket belt, just can't image any other way for it to drop like that without one.

Actually Small_Studios' custom T2 Arnie had the same effect with the belt. I remember him mentioning how hard it was to achieve but no wire needed.

I hope the glasses are much more sturdy then past glasses used on Hot Toys military figures, i had a few pairs easily bust off on the sides when putting them on the figure, they did not actually crack..just not sealed well on the sides of the lenses as they are a three piece construction, a little dab a glue and can't even tell it came apart.Hopefully these shades are one solid piece.
