LOL!
Mike, I had no idea you were a GL collector! What are you doing spending your money on GL and not IM! I am shocked!

So true this has to be the best of use of fabric from DC yet!

I still like my ARH custom much better...
You have seen it yes?

ARH customs are nice but the scale is too small. They don't fit with other 1/4 statues.

Wow! This looks awesome... I'll have to add it to my list.

I was wondering how the production would fair and it looks like they kept the quality of the piece high.

Agreed! :monkey2

They are smaller scale. With the Dc statue I never did like the fabrics they use. Sideshow makes some of the best use of fabrics on their PF's.

I have almost as much Green Lantern stuff as Iron Man stuff except for my Sideshow pieces which weren't offered for GLs until now. I've seen the custom and honestly I don't like it. Too small and too stylized, the body looks distorted and personally I'm glad I waited because this PF is phenomenal.

I snagged one of these the other day on ebay. GL is one of the few DC books I read, and it rules (though I actually like GLCorps better). It'll be nice to have a badass GL piece in my collection.

Hal should be here soon!!

I paid $200 for it but when it came I saw that the seller paid $27.85 in shipping according to the sticker. Its hard for me to believe that I actually paid less than $200 for it if you remove the cost of shipping....:google

this statue is all kinds of awesome. great pics everyone. would looooove to see a green arrow one as well.

I used the have the Ultimate Batman made by AHR but sold it to pick up the Batman Museum and still had $300 left over :lol

You are right thought, the fabrics on the Sideshow stuff is much better. The Captain America is probably the best PF ever!!!

This is the best PF so far from DC. The previous releases did not look great. It's a great pity SS do not have a license to produce PFs of these.

I won't have the GL in hand until tomorrow, but I don't think any of them can beat the Batman. I think that one comes in second to only Captain America.

I know we are all partial to Sideshow but when I look at my Bats, I think to myself, "Aside from being a different interpretation, How could SS make this better?" For those that don't have Bats its hard to explain, but for those of us that do- we know that Batman is a quality piece. I'm perfectly happy with mine and I don't think I would feel inclined to buy another one just because Sideshow made it.

The Bats is perfect, it's his base that was subpar

I'm a fanboy, but I'd prefer a Jim Lee or a Miller version of Batman.
I think the hardest thing with Batman would be deciding which version deserves the PF treatment and then coming up with a pose to compliment the chosen artist.

That's what I mean Wook. While I would LOVE to see both of your suggestions which have plenty of merit, both are preferences. The Bats from DCD which isn't particularly based on any one artists take- on it's own is a quality piece onto itself. IMHO the quality is there, the spirit of the character is there, and the workmanship is there which in my book makes Bats a winner.

^^ Definitely. I think one of the reason's why I haven't bought the Batman is because of my skewed preference of the design. My LCS still has one on their shelf but they are asking $275 for it the last time I checked. If it ever drops to $200 or less I'll be really tempted to buy it.

Dammit!! I just just got mine and although the statue itself is sharp, His lamp doesn't light up. I took the bottom cover off and I found the button underneath, pressed it and it lit up. Seems the bottom cover that you turn clockwise to turn it on is the piece that's faulty. Going to have to find some way to McGuyver it.
