Just got mine as well and I really like it. Toss up between the T-Rex and this one as to my favorite. I'll try to take some pics tomorrow. And I agree with everyone else, while I love the skull, it's just too damn big (compared to the other ones). I'm not even displaying it right now.

Something is too big !? :D

I'd say it's def not to scale..The Rex and Carno skulls are about equal in size and I know that's not right...heh heh

You want to just your skull Reinhardt ? I'd take it off your hands.. ;)

I thik the skulls would be fine by themselves as desktop pieces...you need not display it only with the statue.

Rather ????ing pissed myself. Turns out nobody was here at the house today when the delivery was attempted and likely won't be tomorrow either. I have legitimately no clue what is done after that point... ? :dunno

You have to go to the hub (I think that is the correct term) to pick it up. Give Sideshow a call, there may be something they can do like sending it to work (if you can get it there) or waiving the signature requirement. Good luck with it.

If the skulls aren't going to be in scale to each other then I would at least like them to be similar in size. I don't like how this one dwarfs the other two...

Here are some decent pics of my Styracosaurus #75.

The base is very well done, and has more detail than I expected.

Here is a comparison shot of the T-rex skull next to the Styracosaurus skull. Which one is bigger?:lol

Beautiful, just beautiful man. Congrats to you!:rock

Thanks. It is definately a gorgeous statue.

This is my favorite angle to view this statue.

Each of the Dinosauria pieces has a certain angle that is just gorgeous when viewing them. The T-rex and Carnotaurus are amazing to look at from behind.

I'm not sure about the dios though. I'm sure there is a sweet spot somewhere in all that action.:D

Called and I'm having the store hold it for me until Tuesday.

Believe it or not I'm refraining from looking at any more pictures here until I receive this myself. I would prefer to be stricken by its beauty. :D

Awesome..the base really looks like fresh, wet mud... :D

Man..that Styrac skull is huge..def more bang for the buck. I hope the Spino or possible Allo skull is that large... ;)

Is it just me or does it seem like the detail goes a little soft on the head ? I mean it looks fine on the body..but the horns , eye ridges and such look a little soft in texture when looked at so closely.

Thanks. It is definately a gorgeous statue.

There is ..but it really depends on which you favor I think. The dios def lend themselves to having a turntable base... ;)

Imagine that pose you love..now tilt the head back a bit more and open the mouth in a bellow...perfect.

I didn't mean to imply that everyone likes that angle.:D

I know everyone has there own preference. I love your idea of tilting the head and opening the mouth.:monkey5

I bet someone with the right skills could make it happen.

Btw, the detail of the head does seem to go soft, but I don't think it detracts from the piece. ;)

Though to be fair, Sideshow classifies the PFs separately from the maquettes.

Great shots as always, Jeremy! I agree about the detailing, particularly around the head. However, if the pictures are any indicator, the Deinosuchus will raise the fine detailing level back up to Carnotaurus-level. Fingers crossed.

I didn't mean to imply you meant that everyone like that angle..did that make sense ? lol

A turntable base would allow to view every angle on the VS Dios..so no having to choose one... heh heh

A bellowing Styrac would've been great...maybe another ceratopsian will do it for us.. :D

Well at least it's not just me being picky...l ;)

i believe the skulls are supposed to be in scale with the statue itself. like it could be the skull of the actual dinosaur depicted in the statue. which makes sense i guess.

i finally got my computer running 100%. here are a couple pics. nowhere near as good as some of the others on here, but i try.:D

Thanks Dan. I hope the detail goes back up aswell. Maybe in the Allosaurus vs Stegosaurus diorama, we'll see the level go back up.

I'm sorry, that was just a wish of mine. If the next dio were to be those two, I would be a very happy camper.:D

Great pics and congradulations on aquiring this beauty.

I agree about the skulls. I don't know about the Carnotaurus or Triceratops skulls, but the T-rex skull is definately not to scale with the maquette.

Nice shots, Craw. That skull is a real monstrosity!

I'm sure the Deinosuchus skull won't be to scale with the model. That would be... absurd, right? That doesn't seem to be the case anyway, judging from the stock photos.
