i wish they would made the comic rendition of the charater instead of the movie version.

Considering how different other superhero film outfits are compaired to their comic outfits, Spider-man is acceptable. Its it still 95% the same design. That is really good considering what happened to X-men, Batman, and Daredevil just to name a few.

it will be the movie version. Guaranteed.

Hmm, would you like to make a wager?

Eddie's blog says "Marvel license" when he's talking about Spider-man. Not "Spider-man movie license".

Dave is watching Eddie's blog just like the rest of us because it seems to be the only direct source from the show at the moment and the pictures are phenomenal. Remember Dave, Eddie also stated that HT is doing characters from the X-Men movies and Blade as he read it in a catalog, so if HT is showing off Spider-Man, Blade and let's say a film version of Wolverine in X Suit or even a Cyclops or Professor X, then he'd have to refer to it as Marvel License right? Why would he create three separate entries?

Eddie Wong just responded to a thread I started at Medi

Eddie:
Info will be up soon. Got over 800 photos to go through and narrow down to 80 or so. Then all the post processing stuff...

Yes, Spidey is happening.

And then he updated his blog:

(I see many forums picking up on some comment I made about a HT SpiderMan. No, it is not a guess nor a rumour. It is coming)

He just said Blade and X-Men - I didn't see anything about them being movie versions.

Personally I hope they all are movie versions.

Ugh. I really wish the third one didn't suck. I would definitely consider a movie Spider-man and Goblin.

Who cares whether it's film or comic, HT will be doing them is all that matters and we'll be getting definitive versions of these characters from them.

Yes, that is right folks. Hot Toys has the license to the Marvel Universe. And the pic above is the announcement teaser from HT’s official catalog.

For those that cannot read Japanese, here’s what it say:
Left side: Movie Masterpiece. Starting soon.
Right: Blade trilogy, X-Men trilogy, Spider-Man trilogy, & more…

Movie Masterpiece, not comic versions. This means, those that have longed for a good Spidey 1/6th figure, you’re about to get one. And it’s the trilogy they’re doing which means you will get Spidey, Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Venom, and Sandman to say the least!

This also means you ‘ll probably be able to get every X-Men character in the movies to date since HT is also doing the trilogy series for X-Men.

Then Blade! Man, bankruptcy will surely be on the rise this year…

That's great - I was hoping for movie versions. But the way HT is going now, they'll release Mary Jane and that will be it for the Spider-man trilogy...
