Thanks Rich. Ok, non-acetone all the way then (i'll probably stay away from the temple area) - yeah, i remember seeing those pics of your bust. I was shocked and yet applauded your courage and creativity with what happened.

Thanks! I also used hot glue to reposition the jaw. Super glue to re-insert the teeth, and applied appropriate paint in spots. I made the best of it. I liked the final product I came up with. It was the costliest custom I have ever made. Well, there is a Terminator 1:6 diorama that I am working on now. The "group" has those pictures. THAT is costing the same amount now, and will increase even more when I am done collecting parts for it.

6' long, 30" wide.

Thanks for the pic showing the temple, it was always bugging me with what exactly was under all the black gunk. Now i just hope the combat skulls are still being made in several months time when i have enough money for a 2nd one to clean up!

No problem. Lots of cool little details that are covered up.

the guy who started the "i NEED to order a combat endo, go to the walmart nail polish section, and clean my endo" fad. :)

I don't get it... If you mean me, I definately didn't start it. I was just the first to demonstrate the process on video for everyone.

But yeah why not. I NEED an endo too. (I sold the one from the video, but NEED another one!!)

Cleaning is finally complete on my endo. I started a few days

So has this thread come to a conclusion on the Clean or not to Clean the Combat Skull debate???

I have one and sometimes thing about cleaning it!

Clean half. Put a double sided mirror straight down the center. ;)

That's some squeeky clean work Nacho! Well done!

I decided to get the original clean (w/rainbow) version. I'll leave my BD one alone.

Wow Nacho, you did an outstanding job on cleaning that bad boy!

Thanks mate..

Oh yeh, should also mention that after cleaning I polished it up
with some chrome polish the type you would use on mag wheels.
Comes up PRIMO!!!
Freaks who own a combat bust I say go for it, you won't be disapointed.

Thanks for the compliment ONEYE
and thanks again for your pic and input on how to clean this bust properly.
You are indeed the man...
