Sucks that your replacement has flaws, Chap. I hope SS can replace the body for you. As for the new number, that is a little odd. I always thought they gave you the same number. Seemed obvious to me, but who knows.

Yeah, the number thing kind of freaked me out. I've never had it happen before, but I'm not really complaining too much. I'm not one for #s on ES. Now, if I had number #3 or something, then I might be a little upset. :lol

But like I said, I hope to get a body replacement, but if not, I not too upset. I'll just play it by ear. :rock I actually wouldn't mind a full refund. I've got to frame a lot of autographs that I've collected over the past few years and glass, frames, etc. aren't cheap! :lol

you're not supposed to get the same number in replacement. if you did, then something is fishy :)

I don't care what ES I get either, but if I got a low number, then yes, that would be bullcrap. :lol

Yeah, frames aren't cheap :lol. But they are worth it. Well, I hope it works out for you.

But we were talking about this earlier. I was under the interpretation that they have numberless bases and that once they receive your original, they destroy it, and rewrite the number of the original on the bottom of a new one. That way there's no conflict in numbering. Is that not true either?

Besides, ChrisCJ99 got the same number on his replacement (as his original), if I remember correctly.

No no.... It was my mistake. I DID actually get back the same edition #

Let me retract my statement earlier...my bad. I believe you're right....

From Sideshow website:

Due to the limited edition nature of our product, we cannot guarantee that the item(s) can be replaced at the time of return or that damaged specific edition numbers can be replaced with the same number. In this case, we would offer a full refund of the purchase price (US$).

I got my replacement today. Not perfect but good enough to keep. I definitely don't want to send him back for a refund because he's too awesome.

Man I hope my first one comes clean, sorry to hear about that Mike, that's gotta be frustrating what was wrong with it this time?

Well I got my replacement body today and glad to report that it is in great shape. Only problem is that it doesn't fit into the base :banghead the left foot tab is larger than the hole. I don't want to try for another replacement, only to find I get a worse one. Anyways, problem solved, I took out the old dremel and sanded down the tab and now it fits :chew.

glad it's all good for ya! :banana

For those of you who received a body replacement on this piece, how did the process work? Did you send back the entire box and body (minus the base and accessories)? Or did SS ask you to smash the body before they sent out a replacement?

Destroy? people are still destroying valuables in this credit-crunch ridden climate? :banghead:banghead:banghead

Yeah, I asked for a body replacement and they're saying that there's a "one replacement" limit. I explained I just wanted to replace the body, but it was still a "no go." I'm a little disappointed, but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't mind a full refund. I've got a poster that I've had my eye on, plus I need some picture frames .... :naughty

I haven't made a decision yet, but I'm going to need to do so in 24 hours. Yet another reason why I should stick to PFs and 1:1s, and stay away from comiquettes.
