Since you can paint I'm wondering why you never attempted to repaint the stock head!?

I only try to customise or re-paint my figs if I really have to or really want to. In Rip's case I knew there was a Hero Head available so thought I could just leave the stock head alone in case I ever wanted to sell the fig on (not that I ever want to but you, know sh1t happens). Same with my Hudson, I have the Hero Head but havnt touched the stock one.

It's funny cos when Lonnie sells the Rip Hero Head on eBay he kinda brags about how accurate it is and there's none like it - I guess I read that and psychologically took his word for it. I may try to paint the stiock head at some stage. I was wondering why I seemed to be the only one here who had the Ripley Hero Head!!!

You'll think that even more when you're holding a FML Hicks in your hands - you can really see that it can be done! I always find eyes so Goddamn hard to paint but having seen close up how Les does it, I'm a bit more confident.

Your "pole" gets high when you see his work and hear his voice? LOL. I find it an interesting voice too! I often find myself mimicking his Southern voice outloud: "Figurre-masterrr-Less"

Les... your work never, ever ceases to astound me. One day I WILL have a Les head of some sort in my collection. One day... oh yes.

Thanks Darren. You know I want one done by you too! I have several in progress of your work, but none BY you yet. We'll have to trade soon. I need to do that with several more artists here too.

Quick update.
Still fighting sore throat, but working late each day anyway. I know, it's not good for me, but if I don't watch the clock, I don't know what time it is anyway! I was up late last night, and was actually going to bed, and thought, man, if I could just finish that one Indy I started this week....and after the recent personal Indy decision stuff, and being relieved from painting all the Hickses (Shippings coming guys! HANG ON! Most all are done, just need to pack and ship...Monday is my shipout deadline for those...All Hudsons and Drakes and Ripleys also...those that get all those...),
and tired from some singles, I wanted to try ONE of the SS heads Trevor sculpted, FINALLY, so I have been trying to get one done bit by bit since Monday, and went ahead and finished one that was furthest along to post here...
My personal Indy head trade out may still happen, but whatever, here is my first prototype paint of the wonderful Trevor sculpt... (sure makes me wanna trade mine out...)

Anyway, these (there are about 12 total Indy heads coming, Trev's, a PF or two, and some nice Arnies coming with all those...), and about three Jokers, new paints, are due by Sunday or so, and ONE will ship for sure Monday, (customizerwannabe) so hang tight!



MORE STUFF TO SEE AND DECIDE UPON, AND MORE HEADPAINTS COMING!

Damn Les, you're like Sly Stallone, you spend time away and then come back to familiar characters and the work's better than ever. In my opinion that's the best Indy paint you've ever done. Granted Trev's sculpt is also killer, but the hair work, the stubble, the eyes, very impressive stuff my friend.

wow fantastic work there Les........almost makes me want to get an indy.....but in enough lines already :chew

looking at your last update looks like I will be a very happy man soon with some top painted USCM's and a rip the thought so having some heads painted by yourself makes me very happy......then they will go on display.
