I told you guys we needed the choking hand for Antilles, not Motti.

:)

Anyway, odd choice.

Why didn't they release the Rebel Fleet Trooper AND Antilles together at SDCC? Seems like a good pair to vs. Vader/Trooper.

Also odd given that the DIO was just released with the same exact characters.

And yet Vader has no "Antilles Grip" hand. :(

Perhaps Antilles can come with it? And a stand to support him like he is being choked by Vader. Basically, a 1:6 version of the dio.

Me too. I really think the poor guy was bad off. Hope he gets his stuff together. He had some real talents.

Really? After Vader and the Stormtrooper you feel that way? Even a caveman can figure out that the line is just as strong as ever.

Awwwwwww. Even a caveman?

Not excited in the least. Lando? Tarkin? Hell, Greedo?! I'm biased because I got out of army building (Hasbro curd me of that!). Would be cool I guess if the exclusive was Vader's choking hand attached to an alternate head or something. But for $70 on a buck figure that not a main character, no thanks.

I have always got this thing for that 70s look, I am definitely delighted with this one.

Considering the efforts Sideshow putted in to create the rebel helmet, it make good sense that any opportunity for a reuse will not be missed.

Not sure if anyone addressed this, does Vader come with a hand that could hold Antilles by the throat? If there isn't, could this be the exclusive item?

What happened to him?

I was about to ask the same thing. And I'm not completely certain, but if I remember correctly, Captain Antilles was not the Captain being choked by Vader. It was Captain Aldeggon. (I believe Captain Faramir, were he around, could back me up on that.)

If that's the case, then this was not an on-screen character.

Count me also as one who thinks this should have been announced at SDCC. I think the trio concept was a good idea for the Endor troopers, and it would have worked just as well for these guys.

I do think this is a cool figure, but I'm burnt out on Tantive IV characters. I hope the next announcement doesn't take as long as this one did because I'm ready for something new.

Yeah, I'm gonna be much much much more selective from now on.

:google:google:google

Hopefully SS read your posts in this threasd Josh. There comes a point in everyone's collection (except maybe Sansweet) where space becomes an issue and completism goes out of the window. For me it was the Endor troops. If even the SS superfan is now going to be more selective, SS need to realise that they should concentrate much more on core characters.

I held off buying the dio as I knew that SSC would release this guy. Didn't expect him this soon though, but will be picking him up all the same.

It's a pass for me, but he is a good looking figure for what we can see. Hope this is it for ANH for a while. Bring on ESB Lando and Yoda.

It's nice to see all of the ANH focus and if that's going to continue for a bit, i hope we see some Cantina aliens soon...or a Tusken Raider.

As much as I am happy with this announcement. I did be happier seeing any Cantina alien, which we haven't had any yet. In fact with so many ANH announcements, we didn't get a single alien.

SSC ought to test market response with maybe Greedo or Ponda Baba. Greedo to go with Han while Ponda to go with old Ben.
