Looking at pics of GG I think you're right about the head size as her neck does look rather long in this outfit. No doubt the strapless bustier/bare shoulders contributes to that but still HT's head positioning isn't overly high as I first thought.

Yes, and like Endgame Stealth Suit Cap they'll probably ban the use of rewards and make customers pay full price. Because Sideshow is a "community" lol...
The GG portrait on this fig is perfect. Amazing in person!

Am I the only one who thinks the hair looks exactly the same as the old ones just different in texture? Still looks very bland and lifeless. Its an improvement for sure but I will still wait for InArts release.

You're gonna be waiting for years for inart because they didn't even announce Wonder Woman and they might not even make her. Its hilarious you're waiting for figure that might not even be made and the hot toys one will blow the inart one way out of water!

Woah that's a good spot that it doesn't mention Gal Gadot in the specs anymore, so they're no longer obliged to make this look any more like her than others from the past. Oh balls! there goes any chance of the perfect release then. :angryfist:

It was a perfect release and the figure is amazing!

Call me crazy but I love the WW84 sculpted hair version best. I got her last week and still blown away. This version looks extremely good, but portrait looks still off and that rooted hair won't look as good on a released one.

Are there chances for Henry Superman? :love but maybe they'll do Reeve instead :monkey2

Gal is from Snyder Era
Batman from Nolan Era
Superman???
This release is out and guess what the rooted hair looks amazing!

I still think the WW84 is a better likeness, the nose on this is wrong.

The nose is right and you're wrong

Whoa look who gets the VIP treatment 🤣 No email for me yet.
I got that email as well

This is what my ideal
WW would look like, just with rooted hair and a better likeness.

I don’t understand the complexities of actor likeness licensing so who knows what’s actually going on with Ben and Gal getting let out of the specs.
Maybe because this isn’t tied to any movie in particular, HT don’t need to go through the usual channels or credit Gal…
Afleck may have simply told them to get stuffed coz he’s so done with WB and DC.

Really I’m just grasping at straws and hoping InArt can still produce the BVS trinity. If WB don’t have the actors licenses anymore then InArt can still acquire permission from the actors themselves, right? One would assume at least Caville would be onboard without much pushback seeing as he’s an actual geek like the rest of us.

Anyways-
This figure looks good upon first glimpse- mainly because of the hair (thanks again, InArt)- but it still has a funky colour scheme, thick bracers, giraffe neck, pointless side-glance, countless reuse items and a cheap Pepsi bottle plastic background thing to create the illusion that we’re looking at something special.
HT really don’t deserve the huge price they’re gonna slap on this so, if there is any possibility for an InArt version- even if that is a minimum of 3 years away- I’m holding out for that.
Ok Sure thing hater. This Hot Toys fig is perfect. Inart One don't hold your breath because they won't be making that one and if they did it won't be in three years. Lmao

I find it funny waiting for something that hasn't even been announced and probably won't even be made for many years. The wb100 WW will be better then any Inart version

Its a new rooted GA sculpt on the 84 body/costume painted in a different color with the sword and shield coming from the TA version and strap from the JL version. So the only thing completely new is the hair and the cheap plastic backdrop oh and the box. Does this sound about right? They could have at least changed the eye position or given her rolling eyes but HT are lazy and this is just a very nice looking kit bash in the end (perhaps the best WW ever even) - that kind of rubs me the wrong way honestly considering what it is going to cost to attain if you can even get one.

And then the issue of not knowing if the production copies will hold up to the proto specifically in the most important hair department. I dunno man, I think I am beyond sick of this company.
I can confirm the production is as good as the Proto and hopefully you're able to get one because this figure is truly amazing; the best wonder woman figure so far! Definitely a grail!

It only took them, what, six tries to finally give us a good Gadot WW in her classic armor? Lol
The comic book version is amazing also and you don't know what you're talking about

The other hilarious thing is this technically isn't a Gal Gadot WW yet it may be - considering who you ask - the best Gal Gadot WW they have ever released :lol
It actually is a Gal Gadot wonder woman they even say her name on sideshows unboxing video!

Nice edit! Yeah I agree I find the heads themselves a bit smaller in proportion to the body, I think I had the same nit with the JL version too.

Looks better! The more determined expression makes it look so much more!

When I saw the promo pics I thought of your modified WW. Your styling of the hair looks great!

It looks like they were going for something similar, given how they just recycled existing parts, with new hair.

Ideally, this would be the WW HT puts out for regular release.
It does not make it look better with that expression and the hot toys expression is better

Because as mentioned in the thread it doesn't mention her name anywhere in the description. It's the same exact situation as the Comic Concept version which was also just a generic WW that ripped Gadot's likeness. In every other case they put her name in the description. In the case of Batman that isn't Bale either but they used Bale's likeness. Remember when they use to sell truetype's that looked like certain actors and even a POTUS? Same thing.
It does not matter that it's not in description and how about on that same listing on Sideshows website watch the unboxing video on her listing and how they clearly say her name and it is Gal Gadot likeness used.

They even confirm on video and clearly you didnt watch that video from Sideshow.

You have no clue what you are talking about and it's already confirmed even with Sideshow that this is Gal Gadots likeness used for this figure.

Right it's a total "Prank Villain" situation, you know who it is and you know what movie it is suppose to be from but technically it is none of those things due to speculative reasons like not having Gadot's naming rights anymore hence making it a very nice but a generic WB WW anniversary figure in the end. Honestly if they don't have her naming rights anymore I don't know how they are even getting away with these things.

And again I find it funny that out of all of the WW's they have released the one that is arguably the best doesn't even have her name or a movie attached to it.
So you know Sideshow has confirmed it is Gal Gadots likeness

I’m curious how WB’s licensing works then. How can a likeness be used by an officially licensed manufacturer but not credited? Very odd. There has to be some weird loophole in the talent contracts or something.

I could more see with a character like Batman because in that case the cowl covers most of the face and it’s easier to get away with claiming it’s someone else.

Wonder Woman though you see the full face and likeness. Same if Superman was made.
Sideshow confirmed its Gal Gadot

Not surprising seeing as Sideshow will also probably charge $400-$450 and then add their tax + shipping.

Hot Toys charging INART prices when they slap the word WOOL on their figure that has reused sculpts and parts.
You're just mad because you know you really want this figure

Yikes and thought Toys Wonderland was steep at $381 u.s. dollars…it really hits hard that we have to pay so much for a repainted figure with a customized head sculpt at a price we can get a all new HT deluxe figure :angryfist:
You don't have to buy every single one and this figure is totally worth it. It's amazing

Should have PERS and real human hair for that price 😅
I don't need real human indian hair on my figures. NO THANKS. Im good with WOOL! These are NOT WIGS!

I don’t own any WW figures (had the BVS back during release and sold it) so this is definitely a buy for me. Sure it has reused parts, but as a collector, I don’t want to just collect preorders. With this coming Q3-Q4 2023 - ImArt will at least be 2 years out from now. Plenty of time to enjoy this figure.
Newsflash it will be way longer than two years and possibly is not being made by inart

Why doesn't surprise me that HT finally gets G.G's (standard outfit) WW right after cutting very aggravating corners on every previous release... But only as Gunn is about to reboot/recast everyone?

Part of me wants it because I've been holding off until they did it right, but now knowing we'll probably never see her as Diana again makes me feel like it's too little, too late.

Not sure what you're talking about but concept comic wonder woman is truly amazing!

Yeah, InArt pricing but without the moving eyes, perfect body proportions, magnetic hands & base or huge pile of accessories. Not even a guarantee the rooted hair will arrive styled and protected in packaging.
I can confirm the hair arrives packaged very protected and this figure is immaculate

Does anyone have a link to the InArt Wonder Woman everyone is mentioning? I've never seen it nor knew anything about it. I Google it but find nothing.
It is because one doesn't even exist yet and people are insane thinking it will be made when it hasn't even been announced. Lmao

You just signed up and made 28+ delusional posts which is against forum's rules, your behaviour says who is who. :monkey3
If you look at my account I did not just sign up as I've been a user here for very long and just haven't posted anything in years that I signed up years ago... and these are not delusional posts you don't know what you're talking about I joined in 2015 buddy. You clearly don't even know me because if you looked at my profile I joined in 2015 so once again you know nothing. Sorry but you're wrong

You are allowed to go through reading the comments and replying back to others comments is what I'm doing and I'm reading past comments and responding.

That is why there's so many posts and clearly you are just a sensitive person most likely that probably gets offended easily. Sorry for offending you

I've posted a lot here and elsewhere about how I feel InArt's entrance onto the 1:6 scene has been nothing but good because they are A) making figures on an entirely new level of quality and B) that quality is shocking other companies (like HT) into upping their games. However, with this rooted WW, I see now the possible downside - HT now sees the opportunity to ratchet up their prices to be instep with IA and (with IA also increasing their prices ... 595 for a Harry Potter?!?) this could get out of hand. There is no way I would drop $450 on this WW (simply because I'm not a big enough fan) but there are those who will and I am happy for them if it is an important piece for their collection - I just hope this trend doesn't price me out of the hobby. It wasn't all that long ago that I bought my first figure over $300, but it was a personal favorite of mine, so I went for it. I cannot imagine a world where I can afford to drop $500+ on every figure that comes along.
They do have Flex pay as an option could be the route to go if its pricey

Then you are blessed. Every time I see Morena Baccarin, it’s a good day.

Considering that epic and intricate, mixed media diorma he comes with as well as the all new child body, clothing tailored to perfection, leather shoes, rooted hair, rolling eyes and a heap of accessories, I can genuinely see where every penny is going with that release.

This WW is an entirely different story. All you’re paying for is the intentional scarcity of the piece.

If it was a regular release at a cost that reflected the 95% reuse, I’d consider it but, even if InArt’s version is a pipe dream or years away, the mere possibility of it existing at some point is enough to remove this from contention.

You’ll get her in a flimsy plastic tray like everything else, with a plastic bag over her head to hold her hair together and you’ll thank Hot Toys for the pleasure of of taking your $450.
You are actually wrong because it came in soft foam and the hair was protected!

I will bet money with you that no lol. It's a recycled figure that they probably spent little to nothing on developing other than the base and reproduction. I wouldn't expect the hair to be much better tbh, it's all promo
I can confirm this figure came out amazing and your worries turned out to be wrong

I wish HT would make some comic figs instead of all these played out same celebrity figs over and over and over. Like do something DIFFERENT for once. Maybe do a horror line of screen accurate Jason and Michael and Freddy or Uni Monsters or comic figs or anything but YET ANOTHER Gal Gadot. Oh look, she has Barbie hair now. Who cares! Maybe do the friggen Ghostbusters if they want to do celebrities but please do something DIFFERENT smh lol
Nah.... There are already Freddy & Jason 1/6 figures made and there are better Freddy Statues. They also did many lines in the past from predator to Aliens....

It's all been made already. Go check on eBay for the releases you want because they already came out years ago.
