Really odd that they would do an unboxing of such an old figure like this. Are they really expecting people to hunt down and pay $800 for this guy in order to complete their Jabba displays?

Does it really go for that much? It's terrible looking.

It's actually a pretty decent looking version of the ROTJ piggy but I had no idea how high they are selling. Looks to be around $500-$700.

That's what comes up when I do a quick ebay search at least. Although I'm sure it could be found a bit cheaper elsewhere, like one of the BST groups on FB.

Yeah, strange choice to put up a review of an old figure like this. Unless they’re gauging interest for a re-release. Personally for an older release I don’t think this is a bad figure. Could use upgrades though obviously.

That would be awesome if they rereleased this figure. I’ve been searching for one for a while now, and the cheapest I’ve seen on eBay is around $500.

Not a fan of the design change to the GG in BOBF. They looked horrible. Hit and miss with Disney+ with OT character designs. Max Reb looked very odd to upright. Bib Fortuna was terrible. Hammerhead Mayor, Greedo’s, Walrus men looked fantastic.

Sideshow still hasn't even shipped the cartoon Anakin and Kenobi figures they started working on about six years ago. How weird is it that they are unboxing figures over a decade old? Are their employees bored? Seems to me their time would be better spent working on new product and fulfilling existing orders.

Sadly I think there's probably a better chance of HT releasing the BOBF guards than Sideshow doing a rerelease of these ones.

I think part of the idea behind these old "unboxing" videos is to gauge interest. If enough noise is made, they may reissue it.

A re-release of this over Hot Toys BOBF versions every single day of the week. I’d be up for a couple, the secondary market prices are obscenely high.

If there is demand for Gamorrean Guards in today's market then Sideshow should make new Gamorreans. The old ones are nice enough but are long retired and could definitely be improved. People lobbying online for reissues is how we got a General Grievous that everyone had to have.

If SSC did a re-release (highly unlikely I know) I'd probably grab two, but I still need to finish the mods on my existing two. The stock fig is decent but it has kinda meh paint, odd proportions out of the box and quite limited articulation (no elbow or knee joints - the one on the left I added elbows to.)

I couldn’t get myself to purchase the SS GG on several occasions even on discounts. Figure didn’t capture the essence of the character in my opinion to be on my shelf.

What neck mod did you do, Chakaman?

I have two of these guys, and keep meaning to mod them. I can't understand people not loving them, Sideshow made some strange choices on this figure, it's like 80% there. I'm still grateful they made the Gamorrean at all. I know it can look great with the right mods.
