I don't know, the ES is 600 which isn't very high for Star Wars. And Sideshow has already imposed a limit of one per customer which is usually an indication that stock will be low. Rancor collectibles are rarely made and this one is by far the largest ever offered, it might go quick? The price is pretty high but statue people are used to that. I dropped almost $500 in points I had saved up to knock down the price, I'm not taking any chances.
My thoughts exactly. The rancor statue is one reason I haven't bought that much items last year.

I just don't want to miss this one. 600 seems like a low number even at this price point.

Collection just sitting on the show floor waiting. [emoji30]

I got $209 in BBTS credit. They have a lando skiff guard. Was thinking about grabbing it, but $244 still seems high for him. Unless he?s getting a short run?

Depends if you are going to add a bunch of the usual suspects like Bib, Gamorrean, etc. If so I would definitely get Skiff Lando with that credit.

What?s Bib running these days?

Damn they really need to pump out the rest of the gang.

Not sure, he didn't used to be very expensive second hand but perhaps that has changed. I know the Gamorreans are pretty high priced, I really had to pay up for those.

Just be careful when unboxing Jabba in terms of Salacious. He is RIDICULOUSLY fragile. I mean you could break the ears pretty easily by just sliding him out of the styrofoam.

Yeah Bib seems to have come up a fair amount in price along with Leia Boussh and quite a few other older SSC figs. These were figs that maybe 8 years ago you could get for under $50 pretty easily on ebay and they would sit without much interest, but auctions are quite competitive now.

Yeah I saw Gamorrean going for $500ish

That?s too much for an old figure. Suck if someone made an updated one.

I have given up hope for a Hot Toys Gamorrean, it just requires too much effort on their part for a background character. Really your only choices are to stalk eBay for the opportunity to still pay a lot for the Sideshow or pick up the Hasbro and try to mod it into something passable.

Some of it seems to be related to whether the character appears in new media - I noticed that the SSC TIE Pilot seemed to become red-hot on eBay after LFL did that short TIE pilot themed CGI film for the video game release several months back. It seemed to go from around retail (I actually got mine for under retail maybe a year ago) to $100 or more over retail, and it seems to go high or sell fast now.

Obvioulsy Bib Fortuna's stock has now risen sharply after Mando, and the fact that a form of Gamorrean G also appears in Mando has probably pumped that figure up too.

Yeah I took a cast of my SSC Gammy head and blended it with my Hasbro Gammy to create a second figure. I did buy a SSC fur skirt, belt and hands, and I use the extra staff from my first Gammy, but most of it is the hasbro redone. There are still a few things I have to do on it (the belt needs fixing and nose needs to be more tan) but it's a great background figure even if you don't take it this far, and the Hasbro head is nicer than you'd think after a repaint.

The Gamorrean must have been a lower run because you don't see them listed too often. The price almost always runs $300-$500.

Nicely done. I considered trying to mod the Hasbro but even those seemed to cost $75-$100. I doubt I would have been happy with what I would have come up with. I don't know how to cast sculpts either. I haven't paid over retail very many times but I had to make an exception with the Sideshow Gamorreans. I suppose it's possible Mandalorian Gamorreans could be made but they look too different to pass for ROTJ.

Crazy- even though it was a somewhat lower distribution fig back in the day (I think it was a KB Toys exclusive from memory?) I'm shocked that the hasbro 12" Gammy has gotten that high. They were plentiful at the $25-35 range even as recently as five years ago.

The prices on pretty much anything SW 1/6 or 12" scale seems to have climbed a lot in the past few years.:slap

Holy moly, you weren't kidding about the Gamorreans. That's crazy.

It's not that good of a figure. Even at $120 or whatever it was, we were complaining about the paintjob. I remember I got a replacement head because of a poor paint job. The production line probably had trouble painting because the eyes were set so far back past the snout ... probably hard to stick a paint brush that far back.

So far so good. Other than the noticeable seems on mouth and eyes he looks good on the surface.

Bigger than I remember from 2009 era.. lol.

Oh yeah for sure and the base really well done and far exceeds the V1 [emoji50][emoji44]

Wasn?t the base in 2 pieces?

No, V.2 is one piece. V.1 had the railing separate that you had to then position/fit the pins into the dais.

The new SSC Jabba is a super fun but somewhat nerve-wracking unboxing - either way, extremely memorable.

God dang...

I?m flipping happy!!

Yeah they aren't a 10/10 figure by a long shot, even for Sideshow in that era. I recently did a few tweaks on mine, but it's a solid figure overall. The eyes on mine came out fine though, maybe slightly cross-eyed if you look super close but they kind of looked like that in the movie...

I think it's a shame they did make it in one piece. My frog bowl had the paper sticking to it and left some unremovable marks from some residue.

To replace it, the whole base now has to be sent instead of just a part of it.

Nonetheless, this Janna is a brilliant addition to my collection.

Sad to hear that [emoji17]

With some advice I have tried to remove it, but when you shine some light on it you can see it left some marks.

I hope you are able to remove it without damage, keep us posted please.
