This does not bode well for future JAWS figures. I mean, the first true attempt at some kind of accurate figure completely falls apart. Perhaps this has been going on behind the scenes for years and why licensors have steered clear of JAWS figures all this time. Too much trouble.

It’s almost better this way. Quint and Bruce make a good natural pairing. Once you add Brody, you really need all three at that point. The McFarlane Bruce and Quint diorama was a masterpiece.

Without Brody and Hooper, I see little point to have Quint other than simple novelty. Delivery was supposed to be now, but the site says January 2021. I fear the quality of Quint will take a sharp decline since there is no reason to make extra effort -- the line is dead. Cancelations may simply end the entire endeavor now.

Like Ghostbusters, Jaws always requires the three prime heroes to make a viable product. With Dreyfuss so uninterested, and now the Scheider estate also clearly selective, you have two of the three heroes seeming to be difficult to satisfy. I can't see any licensor wanting to spend time and money on a tough sell. Especially for such an ancient movie that appeals mostly to a 50-somethings and above audience.

I guess Die Hard may have the same problem with Willis or the creators. But Jaws and Die Hard have been seriously underrepresented over the last 20 years relative to their popularity. Now, time is wearing thin for those properties. I mean, 2025 will be JAWS 50th anniversary.

Yep...I was out once I realized that it would only be two of the three...to your point it would be like Ghostbusters figures without Ray.
I could live with just Brody perhaps to represent the film because while he may not be the film?s most interesting character he is inarguably the main character...but no Brody no point.
Surprised people can?t figure out Die Hard though...Neca released a Die Hard figure...Diamond Select released a Pulp Fiction Willis...and in 1/6 Scale Hot Toys released a Willis from some G.I. Joe movie. Whatever the issues are with 1/6 scale Die Hard I am guessing it is not Willis. Since a 1/12 scale was licensed it?s probably a lack of appetite from 1/6 scale companies.
They are too busy giving us School of Rock, another Iron Man armor, young fake Han Solo, and video game versions of Spider-Man.

Willis agreed to the NECA McClane as a one time favour to Robert Rodriguez while filming Sin City. He agreed to give his rights for Hartigan and NECA asked Rodriguez to ask him to allow Die Hard too. Pulp Fiction gets approved by Tarantino, and his rights were included in the GI Joe contract.

Quint was always my favorite JAWS character -- as I imagine for most -- so I may still keep the one-off from NECA. But I'm leaning toward just dropping the whole thing because I fear NECA may get sloppy with its single Quint offering, despite announcing other Jaws stuff coming.

I cancelled both today. I should have done it when they confirmed Hooper wasn't coming. Randy just dropped the tweet like it's no big deal. Their Twitter feed is disgusting now it's all Turtles. I think they found their Marvel.

I'll keep my order for 2 Quints most definitely and I'll buy the shark too. It just sucks that we can't get Brody and Hooper. I'm interested to see what else they have planned. 1/4 scale Quint to go along with my 1/4 scale Dr Zauis, Alien Ripley and...oh wait.

I think they are saying 'more to come' just to keep the few Quint preorders they have. I'm very suspect that they want anything to do with JAWS after being screwed.

I seriously don't understand how he just says "We regret to inform you..." and posts that which is just a screencap of what NECA sends to their retailers. Like that's it? Nothing else? I still don't understand how it gets to the preorder point and then the estate pulls out? I mean just tell us that. He talks so much and can't explain it? I'm honestly surprised so many people replying on twitter are understanding. He gives no explanation at all and they're all like "aw shucks." I at least complained lol.
