I have a hard time believing it?s getting rereleased. It?s a massive, unwieldy item to ship, let alone store. Even as a fan channel item, it would be a massive undertaking.

That said, if anyone is interested in one, let me know:lol

I'd pick one up at retail or somewhere with cheap shipping.

Honestly I just want a Jabba with throne in either 6 inch or 3.75 without a crappy rubbery action feature.

I assumed they would eventually, probably without the carded figure.

Yeah, people perceive these things as "will never be offered again" but in reality companies are always building a loophole for "will never be offered again... except in a slightly different configuration."

I haven't even opened mine yet. :lol

:rotfl Well, it is a very nice box.:dunno

Looks like a former Hasbro employee shot down the possibility of a barge rerelease. It really is just too large to easily handle in any kind of retail setting, online or otherwise. Even the BAF is only being done only on line through target. I don’t imagine it was easy for Hasbro to ship and handle themselves the first time and they’d have to make a pretty penny to make it worthwhile again.

If the Falcon is now a $400 toy, I assume they will ask $600 for the sail barge now...

What is crazy to me is the Bandai Falcon was under $400. If I had any skill with model building, I'd have been all over that one.

It would be like poisoning future HasLab projects. People will feel less inclined to jump onboard if they can get it after.

Having them at retailers will inevitable lead to discounts or clearance on some units.

I suppose they could do direct only runs via Hasbro Pulse or something, but it seems really in feasible to have something like that at general retailers.

Well, who knows now. Steve Evans has contradicted the rumour.

Could be irrelevant to me anyway without full international distribution.

Who is Steve Evans (other than someone who surely must be connected to Captain America somehow)?

That guy who said the rumor was true I've only seen on YT a few times - no idea if he has insider contacts.

:lol Roger(s) Roger(s)

I saw his name mentioned on Rebelscum - probably the former Hasbro employee Buttmunch referred to.

Mr Evans is the former head of the Hasbro star wars team, now the head of the marvel legends team. His last contribution to the star wars team was the barge.

At least the company confusion has been cleared up. Steve Evans is making the Marvel figures and I can only assume Luke Hamill is now making the Star Wars stuff:monkey3
