Ill definitely be making the frozen t-1000 after seeing Leon's, such a clever idea.

Also if anybody else has the idea of making their own Ultimate BD t-800 there is a problem, the BD knee from the older figures has the male/female plugs the wrong way round to be plugged into the ultimate articulated legs. Bugger.

Yeah he'd be cool. We also need an Ultimate 1984 Tech Noir Reese, a full rejig for proper articulation. And based off of that an Ultimate Factory Showdown Reese. Somewhere between these two I'd like to be able to make a Reese without jacket so some sleeveless arms would be good. Basically I want to be able to have most of the variants that Leon Passieux did here https://www.figurerealm.com/customfigure?action=creator&id=34638

I can't see it - in the sense that the line is not active right now beyond rereleases and Randy isn't talking about Terminator lately, what was once T2uesday has become predominantly TurtlesTuesday. At the same time I can visualize it if they decide to revisit T2 and want to really do something brand new. Future John and Miles Dyson are the only other real candidates. Mullet kid and Dr Silberman would be next in line and there's definitely no way they'd make either of them.

Well I could see them doing something like that eventually. They seem to have found their hot toys "Star Wars/marvel" equivalent license with the Ninja turtles. It's hilarious to think that video game versions of Ninja turtles sell better than Terminator!:lol

There's no reason an Ultimate Kyle couldn't cover all three looks from the film.

- base body with shirt and swappable bare arms (maybe retooled ones from Hicks)
- trench coat #1 with sleeve arms
- trench coat #2 with sleeve arms

Considering all he'd come with is a shot gun, pistol and some pipe bombs since I know they wouldn't bother sculpting two new heads.

Ultimate Steel Mill T-800 and Ultimate Steel Mill T-1000 should have been done by now. As Nick-a-tron pointed out, the BD left leg on the older figure isn't compatible with the new Ultimate legs, which sucks. Likewise, you can't fit the top of Ultimate T-1000 with the bottom half of Ultimate Motorcycle Cop. NECA thought of everything to keep things from being compatible. :lol

As far as all new sculpted figures go, I'd like General John Connor from T2 and a generic Tech Com Soldier from T1 and T2 that can double as a generic soldier + Kyle Reese like Hasbro's Hoth Soldier Black Series figure.

Franco gets no love again.

His ripped clothes over his exposed body, plasma gun and red eyes would look awesome.

I want that tv with the broken screen and fire inside of it lol

That was a frustrating discovery. Along with the incompatibility across the 2 Ultimate T-1000s and the older T-1000s whose broken joints I was hoping to repair using the arms from the Ultimates. It was a non-starter because the damn plastic and colour of the police uniform was noticeably different.

Yeah. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a tad concerned about that. I'm buying the Turtles movie stuff myself but I hope NECA doesn't pull a Hot Toys on all other licenses and we start having the more rabid fanboy element acting like the rest of us should be grateful being fed scraps funded by the success of the Turtles line - like as though it had always been the way. However I will stress I don't believe we're there yet.

I also had in mind BD parts for the various injuries he sustains - bandaged hands and arms, bloodied face etc. Not sure they'd get quite everything necessary into one Ultimate release if you factor in that stuff

I wouldn't say no to Franco-nator. That'd be an amazing 2-pack actually, him and Tech-com soldier Reese .

And holy **** posting has gotten very frustrating for me. Random keys have suddenly decided to stop working while others are hyper-sensitive. I'm now having to use an onscreen keyboard.

I definitely see the TMNT figures for NECA being a huge part of their business now, I definitely think the TMNT arcade figures outsell Terminator stuff, at least now since almost everyone who wants one has gotten one.

But also look at Godzilla, there's 1-2 (3-4 including US movie toys) totally new Godzilla figures per year the last few years. Besides Dark Fate and John Connor, what was the last new mold Terminator figure?

I was into them as a child and the 1990 movie holds up really well - of course you have to have been a fan in the first place.

I can even appreciate the cartoon and videogame stuff for the same nostalgia reasons - the recognition of all those different characters I had long forgotten about like General Tragg, The Rat King and so on. I'm not gonna collect them because I stick to realistic style but they're a cool line. I just don't want it to completely take over at NECA as Marvel and Star Wars have with Hot Toys.

Agree strongly, A-dev. The 1990 film is the only film from my childhood NOT rated "R", that I still enjoy immensely. I don't know how they got away with making such a nuanced, comparatively violent film off of the hottest kids' license at the time. I remember feeling for once that i wasn't being talked down to as an 8-year-old by pop culture in my age range.

Sorry to take things further off terminator topic!

Always thought it was hardcore that Raphael gets ganged up on and beaten into a coma. That's not something that would happen to a hero in a typical kids film.

Anyway, yeah, that original TMNT film and T2 were top movies (among others) in my childhood. I did however move away from Turtles all the way up until NECA came along with those 1/4 scale figures. I thought they looked amazing but as it had been so long since I'd bought anything from that franchise I hesitated until I streamed the movie from somewhere to give it a watch for the first time since the early nineties - I was expecting to have my face in my palms at embarrassing kiddie crap, wondering how I ever liked it - instead I came away thinking 'wtf? That was still pretty good'. And that was that. Immediately ordered the 1/4 scales. That said I might have not done so if I'd known for sure that they were eventually gonna do a 1/10 line. But Randy was pouring cold water on people's hopes for that at the time.

Yeah the '90 movie holds up 100% to me, pretty much more than any other property I liked as a kid that was aimed to kids. Watched it last year and it was SO different than how anyone would make a kids movie today. I see it as basically an adult movie based on a kids property, that's the best way I can describe it. Watching now it doesn't feel like anything was dumbed down to get kids more involved in anyway, just a real way to portray the property in live action.

Amen to all of that. I'm glad i just bought the 1/4 scale and was done with it. As much as i regret now not having the casey jones, i just don't have the gumption to chase exclusives with bad of distribution. God bless neca for finding an avenue for doing them, but good grief, i can't go to walmart every day, and i really feel for the fans overseas.

Actually we overseas fans have been largely well served on the TMNT front now - well, speaking of the UK and Ireland anyway. All the movie figures made it to specialist stores eventually and the Casey Jones/Raphael set was easier for us to order (directly via The NECA store) than for people in the US who had to struggle with Walmart's page. And I think we get the cartoon and videogame stuff aswell - I've seen that Rocksteady & Bebop set available on Dublin City Comics site and I understand people in the US have trouble finding that. All this Turtles stuff is so popular I can see it being reissued constantly anyway. And the latest news is that Elias Koteas did eventually authorize the use of his likeness so there's another release of Casey Jones coming for sure.

Yeah, you've a point - neca does not know the meaning of "too much of a good thing" in most cases... John Connor notwithstanding. Chuffed to hear those across the pond have had it easier than us getting ahold of their teenage mutant hero turtles. :)
Saw the likeness news, if they do casey in 1/4, i'm (probably) there. $130 just doesn't come as easy as it used to around here!

Man it was ridiculous how excited I was yesterday to get more of a figure I already have umpteen times over that I've been buying since 2009. Switching the shinier grenades of the latest reissue onto my older figures and retiring 2 of the statue-legged figures was a nice little refresh and there's even more I now want to get. I was joking about the multiple dioramas - a bridge too far even for me - but with the figures the OCD is definitely strong.

NECA has me over the barrel with their incremental improvements strategy. Where's the ultimate BD T-800, ultimate Steel Mill T-1000 - I'd end up buying the heck out of those before you even get to new Trevor Grove sculpts, Cleaved Man T-1000, Pescadero Sarah Connor and Miles Dyson - Yes I'm sneaking Dyson onto my wishlist now. Very unlikely to happen but I can picture him in my mind's eye as an exclusive with his arm in sling, a fireaxe, the model of the CPU that he smashes and the detonator for the explosives.

Just a minor correction of myself. I was checking T2 for something when I noticed Dyson does not have his arm in a sling - he just seems to keep his left hand in his pocket. I've seen it enough times you'd think I'd have known this.

Mandela effect. :lol

I know he's got a sling on when they're sitting at the table.

Get out of my head, I don't like knowing this now.

I went to order that 2-pack, but I just can't do it man. Neca finally broke me. 60 is just too rich when I only want half of the package, especially when I paid less than 30 for Sarah originally. There's absolutely no value in this 2 pack, no exclusive extras, John is missing things from the previous release, including the better head, and you know he's going to have bike handle hands.

I just played 'Terminator: Resistance'. The game mostly sucks to be honest. A kind of ugly, bog standard shooter with light rpg mechanics sprinkled throughout. The devs clearly love the franchise though, with tons of references and details, and you can't help but root for them. It's the little game that tried. In one word, I'd call it adorable.

And I'll be damned if it doesn't cobble together a decent enough plot. It's much better than Salvation.
