This is the suit in Snyders version. They wanted to film with the black suit but never did.

This has probably already been answered by now but it is both true and untrue, lol.

Snyder lost the battle with WB's execs to film JL with Superman wearing the black suit, so he had to shoot with the blue suit. However his plan all along was to recolor it black in post for his director's cut. The movie "Zack Snyder's Justice League" will recolor the suit to black. The 2017 theater release was at least 75% (if not more) reshot by Joss Whedon. It had Zack's name on it as director only because per DGA collective bargaining agreement Snyder shot 100% of principal photography, and therefore he has to be listed as director.

You can call me crazy, but instead of wasting money in post production changing the color of a suit.. Why not using a different color suit?? I just can't understand Hollywood movies. Anyway, I'm still waiting for my JL Supes to ship...

The director and studio had different visions.

This happened because at the time, in the wake of the harsh response to BvS, newly promoted co-CEO of DC Films Geoff Johns was desperate to rebrand the DCEU as more MCU-like, emphasizing "hope and optimism." Johns' fingerprints are all over the studio interference into Suicide Squad and Justice League. Grace Randolph recently reported her sources at WB have told her it was Johns that undermined the Snyderverse. Which btw included Ben Affleck's The Batman, by attaching himself as co-writer to that film.

However, Geoff Johns and the old WB execs made Synder change it to the blue suit, but he was going to change it back to black in post anyway. There is a lot of info on how this would be possible mostly pertaining to the Director*s Guild and Snyder*s rights as a director.

I'm so glad Johns was kicked out. He just looks like an arrogant F-wit who's just too full of himself.

Yeah, Snyder definitely wanted the black suit from the start.

I remember back when Henry Cavill posted on Instagram the pic of a black suit.

At the time some wondered if Henry had just taken a closeup of the blue suit and recolored it to black and white. If that's what he did that would have been an Easter egg for what Zack was planning to do?

Also, remember that Superman wore a black Kryptonian suit in the dream sequence with Zod in MoS. Zod wore one too. But it had no chrome underneath. (Actually it was from watching MoS that Zack realized he needed chrome underneath the black suit in JL to make it pop more visually.)

Anyway, regardless, Henry was clearly teasing that he'd be wearing a black suit. But what I'm getting at is the cropped pic Henry posted might also be from one of those MoS Kryptonian suits.

Do you know if any information ever emerged about Michael Wilkinson having actually made a Superman black suit for JL? Production of such a suit might not have been greenlit, because when they were about to being filming for JL the studio was in a panic over the reception to BvS. I've never seen or heard what actually happened with all that.

That $25 shipping wasn't so sweet though. Ridiculous cost, I shipped a Hulk across the country for the same price. That box was twice the size and 3x the weight of a regular figure.

Wow!! I like the stock paint but this is another level.
