After WB invested a ton of money in the last Bat-mobile and only getting to use it in two movies, WB wasn't about to do it again. They had to re-cope the money some how, so we get this bat-mobile. I know some say "Well it suppose to be his first one, but in Nolan's first batman movie, he got the Tumbler. They even gave it a great back story. I hate to be the Debbie downer, but I'm loosing hope for the current film fast. This car looks like something Blade would have driven.

I think the car looks badass. Not the traditional Batmobile, but then neither was the Tumbler. And right now I far prefer the look of this one.

Not the Batman we are accustomed to. Very raw, early, no R&D nor Lucius Fox. Perhaps that's the angle. Brains over relying on high tech. True detective.

It's okay, you all will ***** to no avail in two years when HT refuses to release a Reeves Batman Batmobile to go along with your gen 1 Battinson suit.

A suit on a figure which you'll have spent the cost of five replacing the ab plates so they're perfect, you'll have custom real metal runs of his forearm darts made, and you'll backlog Unreal with orders for a cape which caresses his ass in just the right way.

But carry on, for now. It's all going as prophesied. Movie's design looks unique. I'm excited.

This is going to be hilarious.

BvS didn't jive with people because Batman was near the end of his career and world worn by all that's happened in it "THIS IS NOT BATMAN!", now they're doing a Batman at the beginning of his career with not too many similar features we're accustomed to "THIS IS NOT OUR BATMAN!". I imagine because this is at the beginning of his career he won't even punch people just yet. "THIS IS ABSURD, BATMAN PUNCHES PEOPLE!".

Exactly! The thing I really see more and more are people who zero'd in on one form of Batman (or frankly any other superhero / villain / etc) and then forever compares everything to that one instance. Give things a chance

I just wish we had more big dudes play Batman. All the other Batman actors were too...small. Which was ok because Keaton and bale are great actors, but I just want someone with the physical look like dwane ?the rock? Johnson would play Batman. Not the rock himself though, just someone with muscles like him. Bigger than Ben afflict was in BVS.
I will say as a muscle car lover this batmobile looks sweet. Could be my favorite live action Batmobile look when I see more of it.
I'm fine with a normal sized Batman. I don't actually like him bulky. I always thought it made more sense for him to be stealthy and agile rather than someone the size of The Rock or John Cena, as they like to draw him in the comics. Don't forget this guy is also supposed to pass for a billionaire playboy.

He doesn't have to huge but he should have some visible muscles. I guess they can put a muscle suit on this whimpy guy.

How is Pattinson wimpy? Just because he's not as bulky as Affleck doesn't make him wimpy. He's certainly bigger than Keaton was.

Pattinson is not wimpy but the batsuit choice looks a bit garbage. Keatons suit was one of the best if not the best batsuit designs. This was because it wasn?t over exaggerated armor with harsh angles. It looked like a human and bat hybrid. Same with Aleck?s batsuit. He was a beast in that suit.

Lol pretty much.

The Tumbler sucked.

I initially didn't like the Tumbler, then I very much liked it to justify having bought the Hot Toy. Now I'm meh on it, Hot Toy has been boxed up for years.

That said, it at least looked like it could take some hits.

Every Nolan vehicle is ugly . That flying monstrosity was hideous and the tumblr was initially hated when it first came out, so I am confident people will beg hot toys for this car come June 2021.

That said, it at least looked like it could take some hits.

Until it finally did take a single hit from the Joker.

Tumbler always looked so ugly to me. Too boxy, too militarized. The whole Lucious Fox thing is lame too. I prefer Batman making his own ****.

Best thing to come out of the Tumbler was the Batpod. Literally.

Re: Robert Pattinson as "The BATMAN" Speculation Thread

From a technical standpoint, yes. The Tumblr made sense in the Nolan universe.

From a standpoint of a cool Batmobile? Nah. Batpod was a win though. The Tumblr incorporated design was a great idea.

I'm surprised no one has commented that the Pattinson Batmobile harkens a bit back to the '66 Batmobile. The shape and flared wings in the back elicit a similar feel. But I suspect that's too touchy of a subject and a handful of folks are about to get their panties in a twist over such a statement.
