Really hope wingard brings his awesome style to this movie. Dougherty did good with king of monsters but never really let his true colors shine. Krampus and Trick r Treat are miles ahead of King of monsters

I've only seen Trick R Treat once and have never seen Krampus, so my only measure of Dougherty was how much he talked up like a fan of the franchise and for me, it was legit for once and not just press blow up. Any time a new director comes into a franchise they always talk up what fans they are and all that but their film doesn't show it. Regardless of it's flaws, KOTM definitely feels made by a fan of the franchise, perhaps too big a fan who didn't know how to reign in his passion to limit how much was crammed into a single film, but I'd rather that compared to someone who doesn't even get the material.

I know nothing of Wingard, but I'm excited to see this movie and now that we have confirmation Kong will be large enough to go hand to hand with Godzilla, I look forward to seeing them brawl.

Been saying this for years, fully expect something along the lines of Batman vs Superman, just glad that Kong is a size equal so we can see them actually fight.

I would think something will come soon, while the film has been pushed out, I would think they have enough ready and keeping for the final film to cut together a teaser level trailer.

I'm curious what the marketing will be like for this film, 2014 was marketed heavily as a doom movie, very misleading, Kong was pretty on point selling a 60s, fun sort of film, I thought KOTM marketing was great with the escape to a different world vibe they gave it.

I wonder how they're going to try and make it grounded
Besides the obvious stuff, on the top shelf on the right it looks kind of like there's a Godzilla there with fire coming out of his back. And then on the other side there's something that looks liked a winged creature.

Man oh man. The cat is definitely out of the bag with Godzilla vs. Kong now. These spoilers have really upped my excitement for this film.
