modern life sculpt isn't as great, idk why hey charge so much :\ especially with mass painted final product looks nothing like proto they provide

Justin is good in that he always gets one of the first reviews up. But his reviews are always some combination of "this is one of the best Hot Toys releases!" no matter the quality lol.

But don?t we feel that way when we first get it? It?s a natural reaction. But he does point out the flaws.

Unless it?s something glaring, I don?t pay that much attention to reviewer content.

What I appreciate is the opportunity to see crisp in-hand video and form my own judgement from there.

That?s why I really like Justin?s reviews, the rest is just like, his opinion man. ;)

Justin's video does at least allay the initial concerns about a possible giraffe neck. So lazy of Hot Toys to put shots like that out for a new release. Anyway, best I can tell the body is basically same as BvS (including neck). Looks like they just added chrome to the body and repainted the suit and head sculpt.

The smaller chest insignia as actually growing on me for that particular suit with it's color scheme. The side-by-side comparison with BvS Superman is also interesting to see. I'm relieved that it looks as good as it does. And while I like the darker blue BvS suit color this JL suit absolutely pops.

A BvS head sculpt improved with a better paint job on this suit is fine by me. It's a great looking figure.

I wish they hadn't given him the rage face for the heat vision head sculpt. I'd rather have seen something like shown below. But who knows, now with the light piece that fits inside the head sculpt, maybe someone will eventually make a custom one that's less malefic looking.

I hear you - but I appreciate reviewers who try to be more objective than give their emotional reaction to a figure given the price point. Plus, I don't think he has ever verified that he is an independent reviewer has he? I agree he has gotten a little better recently but some of his reviews make me roll my eyes when the figure is clearly sub par and has glaring issues. The only time I've seen him actually rightfully trash a product was the Mark 50 accessories pack lol.

I don't care for video reviews, I don't need all that extra nonsense. I prefer photos, like mwctoys.com.

For the most part I agree, but some of the figures that have skin tight clothing benefit from video reviews I think so you can see how restrictive the articulation is or isn't.

I dont think he buys figures he doesnt like. He has said in a couple videos he doesnt like the neon iron men figures. He does come off as a bit of a cheerleader sometimes though.

Its a good thing i dont make video reviews, they would be about 2 minutes long. :)

I always appreciate Justin's reviews. Well presented.

I like the figure. It certainly does capture the look of him as seen in the JL film. Sad to hear how easily the shield is damaged.

While the vibrant colors looks more akin to his comic books, I really like the BvS colors better.

He hates Dusty Deadpool to lol.

I'm not to fussed what reviewers say and prefer to make my own mind up. Just like watching to see get a better look at the figures since the promo pics these days are so bad.

Overall I love what I'm seeing. The colour is perfect and honestly makes me sad we probably won't get a MoS 2 with Henry wearing that vibrant suit.
Only disappointments are the downgrade in cape, the issue raised with the red chrome on the shield and still that issues with the creasing in the ankles of the boots.

Why do you think Cavill isnt returning to this character? Within the last month he has hinted at returning.

Exactly. I think if WB were to say to him let's do a MoS 2 he'd be there with bells on ! He's also said he wants to continue on from the MoS time point.

I guess it may depend on the reaction to the Snyder Cut release. Damn I can't wait for that !

Just a natural pessimist lol sorry. I really hope he returns but DC have their slate set up until 2022? Doesn't look like Superman is a priority anytime soon, even Supergirl seems to be ahead in the queue.

Probably the only Superman we might see in the near future would be in a Shazam or Black Adam sequel or a cameo in a Supergirl movie.

Difficult to see a straight up Superman movie before 2023 at the earliest. By then, over a decade since MoS, what guarantee they want Cavill back? Henry still wants the role but most rumours have WB wanting to reboot the character. The longer it goes the less likely he is to come back.

Since Justin is working in conjunction with a toy store I've always assumed that there's a business arrangement of some sort there. So to some extent he's a toy salesman. He's very good at what he does, i.e., displaying newly released figures to get everyone hype for it. But rightly so, honestly. Usually HTs are amazing, it's why we're all collectors in the first place. To his credit, he does point out negatives to the figures. They just usually aren't deal breakers, i.e., they're relatively minor things.

Honestly, the only way I see it happening is assuming that Warnermedia saw on Nov. 17th via the RTSC movement that there is a large enough dedicated fanbase for Zack Snyder's five film vision that has created its own built-in, readymade, FREE social marketing machine juggernaut. This in conjunction with the success of Joker. So whether they actually call it Black Label or something else, they can see ZSJL succeeding--and if that's the case then they also let Snyder complete the saga with two more films. If this happens then maybe Henry also gets his MoS 2 as a self-contained, independent story set between MoS and BvS. I think Flashpoint: Paradox is also a distinct possibility if these films do well.

Warnermedia is actually desperate for content for HBO Max. They have what they need to greenlight Snyder's vision continuing, they just have to work out particulars in a grand scheme.

But anyway, The Snyderverse simply becomes a separate track for these characters. And there is essentially two separate continuities. Joker demonstrated that fans not only can tolerate multiple versions of iconic characters, obviously they actually really like seeing the R-rated, dark, existential, more artistic, creative take. BvS was just a bit ahead of its time, and was taking place alongside the much more conservative and highly successful MCU. There will always be Superman and Batman fans that on general principles would hate seeing these characters deconstructed as Zack did. Their voices dominated discussion of BvS, unfortunately. But hopefully they will be happy as pigs in **** with the mainstream universe that Pattinson's Batman is setting up. Which I think will be very DCAU-inspired and much more traditional comic book-y.

Although if the mainstream universe does what Disney did with Star Wars, e.g., casts Michael B. Jordan as Superman, then I think the same controversy will take place there as well. Same type of fans will be in an uproar about woke movement, etc.
