Movie or cartoon what's the difference thing won an oscar it's a good story they wrote a hell of a movie if they can write with the same quality they can adapt it to a movie.

Please say ****ing sike. They really ****ing made there first billion and now they want to pull the character out? I ****ing hate Sony so much I?m so fine with any future **** Spider-Man movies they want to make. I ****ing can?t stand them
 
I won't believe it til it actually goes into production. Not the first time negotiations headed into the public domain. If you read the article, Disney wanted to go from 5% to 50% on the "first dollar". That mouse is one greedy b*****d.

You intentionally left out Spider-Man 1 & 2 which were great, Spider-Man 2 is still up there with the best Marvel movies.
I'm not going to complain when I felt Homecoming was just okay and Far From Home showed nothing that made me want to see it in a theater. And like Moose said, hopefully this will allow Spider-Man to step out of Iron Man's shadow.
Also, it's thanks to Sony and Fox that we have an MCU.
 
Yea but they began to suck as soon as they blew up. Arguably the best xmen film was 2 and the best Spider-Man film is 2. So Sony can suck a **** with this decision. I don?t care what anybody says . Into the spiderverse was good and Sony let them do what they wanted cause it was animated. They are a horrible studio and get in the way of creative control during live action.
 
It was inevitable for Spidey to split from the MCU. Iron Man is gone now and that was the one character he really interacted with. Cap is gone too, Hulk is pretty much done as well, Thor is in space with the guardians, Doctor Strange could've worked but it looks like they are going in a different direction with him anyway and Spidey doesn't really fit with any of the other announced movies (Shang Chi, Eternals, Black Panther) too.

I think Marvel is set to start focusing on their different characters now with all the new titles they announced and many of their surviving established characters (Hawkeye, Winter Soldier, Falcon) are moving to their streaming service.

I agree that the writing for Into the Spiderverse was really great, but in addition to the sheer magnitude of production, there are literally countless differences in producing an animated film vs. a Hollywood blockbuster that Sony just can't seem to get right.

I agree that SM1 and 2 were great, but those were a long time ago. They haven't done anything cool in a long time. That Ghostbusters reboot with Melissa McCarthy? It sucked. If the next James Bond (which will have a female take the mantle of 007) is like Ghostbusters, then they'll ruin that too.

They can have 50% of a billion $ grossing movie, or 100% of a $300 million dollar grossing movie, that may also anger the fans.

So we get X-Men back and now Sony wants to be the dumbass and say nope we gonna create our own **** now. **** them. I?m not watching another **** reboot or any of there damn venom movies. They can kiss my ass. ****ing idiots.

Make a successful venom movie and now they think they get it figured out. Half the ****ing world thought it was a ****ing mcu movie you idiots!
 
If this doesn't get reversed, Sony will be so hated by Marvel fans, forever.

So many rejoiced when Fox was bought and finally, all the characters could potentially be in one franchise, now Sony will be the Grinch, for stealing fans Christmas gifts.

Disney is being greedy now, Sony wanted to keep the same deal they had with the previous MCU films, Disney wants more profits!

Anyways a producer is trying to discredit this for the time being because the real news is that negotiations are on going.
