Jeez, you mean delayed beyond the already ridiculous November time frame they gave us originally?? Seriously, what the hell is up with QMX right now?
Chill out! QMx still faster than most companies as far as I know [emoji23]

I thought long and hard before replying to this and thought no it may only cause offence, but then I thought no this is a tad rude. I as with others have paid for Scotty and Sulu. And these have been released but production runs were low and didn't fulfill pre-orders requested, so I would say we have a reason to be frustrated and have chilled still waiting. And if I'm correct you sir were the production manager, so why weren't sufficient amounts produced, with no reason why we had ours delayed because we were told someone else received some of the allocated stock instead. So you should be able to understand people's frustrations and I stead of telling people to chill, offer at least an apology for failings on Qmx and your part. If you have not been responsible for lack of production be honest with people to reduce their frustrations, after all we are customers who pay for our hobby and support you with it and without us buying the line or showing interest it would not have been as popular.i haven't known other companies offer a line to then release a limited run and then say they are to release more, I may be wrong, and I'm sure someone one will no doubt let me know in any response. But please understand frustrations we placed our orders when they were solicited not some time later and this frustrates us greatly, it's not an inexpensive hobby even at your really competitive prices.

Oh come on! Can’t you wait? I mean, if you’re into this hobby, you should know you’re playing the waiting game!

Look at me! I paid in full my Wick figure at KGhobby in HK, hoping it’d be here faster! Now, everybody has it and even European stores are starting to carry it and KGhobby still haven’t got its allotment.

So what? I’ll wait! It comes when it comes! First world problems...

Indeed you are a patient person and each to their own, I pre-ordered Scotty in November, so a tad longer than I'm used to, I'm glad you can afford to wait but some can't, when they have been released and then our allocation circumvented, and an alleged additional batch to be sent out and told varying dates, slightly different to your case when John Wick was slated for release qtr 3to 4 so is still on track for allocated release date not released then redistributed....yet... Iam not a saintly soul unfortunately, so probably won't be going to get anointed.

Agreed.

To me there is a huge difference between a regular pre-order that you know in advance that you are in for a long wait for, and an order where the stock was due, but which was so short stocked when it did arrive that it couldn't come close to covering all the orders that had been placed, leaving many high and dry through no fault of their own, and for those of us who missed out to then be told we have to wait for who knows how long until we get the figures we paid for, due to what very much looked like a deliberate under supply in order to drive up initial demand. That is all bad enough, but to then be openly mocked by one of the people responsible, when at this point we've already been waiting an extra six months longer than expected, and when it looks like we might well be waiting another six months (or more!) until we get the released figures that we already paid for, is pretty damn galling to be honest.

Stuff happens, but there is really no need to be rubbing salt in the wounds of your customers while they are trying to be extra patient for items that they should, by rights, already have. For a company that kept telling us how different/better it was, and how it didn't offer releases until they were almost ready to be shipped, to then blame us for being frustrated by these extended delays (which have already been pushed back twice) is pretty rich, really. And personally, very much unappreciated.

I'm plenty used to waiting in this hobby, but when a release date keeps getting pushed back further and further (Scotty originally came out in Feb-March, with later batches pushed back all the way to November... and now they're saying an extra 4-5 months??) that's a bit different in my book. Especially when you add it to the other frustrations with QMX right now.

Having to repost some of the pics that were deleted.

I've made the console removable to allow access to a hidden compartment. To be used for the battery as well as storage for accessories.

Started to modify the seats. First thing was to remove the cushion and rough up the surface to paint.

Modifying the base.

I didnt decide in business operation, and I.have zero influence in this respect. But I did went beyond my responsibilities to keep 1/6 trek alive (invest in a new.body so 1/7 Trek can continue) and did fulfill every production with less than adequate resources comparing to any other 1/6 companies in existence (this was a comment from other 1/6 companies)

Sulu stock was available during the 1st wave. Technically, those who have them now pre-ordered or ordered early. Ordered late, receive late is natural.

Like I mentioned many times to others, production is not buying a hamburger from McD where I just walk in. order, then receive.

Production needs scheduling. If any factory can take an order and produce immediately. My experience and rationale would tell me, this factory has Nothing to do, either they are inexperienced or their qualities are no good.

Good factories scheduled themselve 6~9 months ahead of actual production. As of now, the top producers are already scheduling their 2020 May production.

Oh that's OK then... I ordered Sulu as soon as solicited so no your rationale for not ordering him early falls flat there unfortunately and if production needs scheduling then unfortunately this was not scheduled effectively to meet initial pre-orders so errors their.the pre-orders would give lan initial indication of demand and as it was months in advance should give an indication of a production run which in these cases has fallen short unfortunately as I have said I didn't leave it late to order so the 1st wave didn't have an adequate quantity produced to fill demand. And I thought you had already had a factory that did this for you and in your view then the scheduling for these should have been done 6to9 months in advance, but thanks for your insight and the insinuation that its my fault for not getting Scotty or Sulu through not ordering on time anyway.

So I got a message from Planet Action Figures that they will not be stocking the re-releases of Kirk and Spock, just don't understand the reasoning behind this but oh well it's their business, it's just that I purchased the rest of the crew on the grounds that QMX are re-releasing the main duo and I don't want to miss out on them again, does anyone know where I can pre order them from the UK. Customs will crucify me if purchased from SS or QMX.

Big Chief are stocking them I understand....

Though I thought PAF also had a very limited quantity?

I didnt say anyone's fault. But someone didnt plan it well enough.

Seats more or less complete, just to recover the base cushions in a vinyl material. I had to reshape the backrests, as the edges curve inwards, not straight as i had made them at first.

helm20.jpg

The cushion does not compress enough, so the backrest looks too low as a result.

The new body is being used with this over sized Set accurate tunic. It is about 1-1.5mm larger than the 2016 released Screen accurate Spock tunic and 2017 McCoy tunic.

I think the body can be used for replacement or upgrade for Spock and McCoy. (I dont have the screen accurate to try on and see).

I dont know about you guys. These improvements are imprtant to me. Like I said, I studied HT's hands for 2 years)

No longer I had to make Trek (as of now only) basing on someone else's standard. In this case, it was coomodel's body. I had to work around most parts to ?fit? the CM body.

See the picture so I dont had to type. The design was basing on Bandai 1/60 Perfect Grade Gundam skeleton. I strongly believe 1/6 bodies can be improved just like 1000toy Synthetic Human.

The original design was spring loaded mechanisms that would pull the hands back in place after hyper extension with a 90 degree wrist joint twist angle. But this design cant amortize without at least 70k+ units. So I am selling this design to Bandai. In talks now [emoji23]

So a longer wait for Scotty & Sulu to reach UK shores, wonderful. Both fully paid up some time back, money I could have used elsewhere, had I known of the delay due to the re-allocation of stock to Sideshow. Nice.
Delays I can accept, in this hobby it is expected for varies reasons, but for QMX to divert extra stock to Sideshow from the UK preorders/paid up customers, was underhand.
