Why are people thinking this is for a quarter scale Spider-Man?
The quote they posted with the photo is from the Vulture.
If it was for Spider-Man there’d be a quote from him. Right?

I think some of us are seeing the post as a little too on-the-nose. I'll eat my hat if it's not a quarter scale Spidey on battle damaged Vulture wings.
No way Hot Toys releases a villain before the hero.

More viable than a quarter scale vulture imo. Looks like the vulture wings are part of the base to me.

It's going to be a base for a 1/4 Spider-Man. Hot Toys said 1/4th Spider-Man on Weibo.

"For those who collect 1:6 spiderman, time to consider bringing 1:4 spiderman home too!!"

Makes no sense to make a 1/4 vulture before spiderman

Chinese Weibo HT page says it's a 1/4 Spidey.

Very disappointing if that's the case. Their twitter post doesn't have any 1/4 scale hashtag tacked on, so I'm still hoping for 1/6 Vulture.

I'd say it's definitely a quarter scale something. Both their Facebook and Instagram posts have quarter scale mentioned, just not whether it's Spidey or Vulture.

Yes, the quote clearly implies it’s Vulture. Very misleading if it’s 1/4 Spidey.

In Chinese, the meaning is clear as day. There will be a QS Spider-Man... As much as I hope for a Vulture I guess I won't be seeing him in one-sixth form sadly.

Studio Hive said they had a part in designing what this is. I doubt they've designed the figure so it must have some kind of elaborate base, or could this be a new statue range from HT?

i have the same feeling , for spidey to be in his home made suit. that's the scene where the vulture wings was trashed.....
