Hoping the new skiff ships early. It's still estimated for July but hoping for next month.

Amazing setup! Awesome figure choices - especially jealous of that Bubo.

Which release of the dias is the one Jabba is sitting on there?

It’s the Walmart Throne, I believe it came out 2010, and Jabba is from the Toys R Us set, bought him loose off eBay.

Picked up the retro carded figures from Target and the game with Tarkin. Yes, the cards are not completely 100% true to the original but they are cool to have since my originals from when I was a kid were "well" played with. They look cool hanging next to the new Vintage carded figures I have been sucked into buying.
I did take the retro sticker off and all but Han turned out great, Han's card tore slightly where the sticker used a lot of adhesive. Meh. Worth it to remove that big ugly stickers I hated.

Yeah I'll be removing those stickers if I find any of the retro figures at retail. Glad to hear they're finally in Minnesota! :rock

Check the men's clothing. Both Targets in St Cloud had them but empty in the toy aisle. I asked a worker and he said they were by the men's t shirts. Great idea Target...

Holy crap dude! Just walked into Target, headed to men's clothes and they had one and only one full set of all six figures!!! I grabbed every one and feel like I just got six carded 12-backs for 57 bucks!! I freaking love this line, thanks for the tip! :rock

I've bought six real 12-backs for less than 15 bucks. But that was like 40 years ago.:dunno And... my Dad paid for it.:lol

But ugh... SW toys in the mens' clothing section. I'm not sure how I feel about that. It's going to be aftershave, socks and SW figures for father's day soon.:lol

Oh, and great score btw.:clap

Thanks and I hear you, those were definitely the days when we could buy the vintage ones for just a few bucks each. I must say though, seeing these hanging on a peg, six main characters no less, and simply having the means to instantly buy the lot then and there is a situation my 3-9 year old self could only fantasize about, lol.

These display beautifully and for all intents and purposes look just like the real thing. The retro stickers are a real pain to remove though (strong adhesive on cheap cardboard) and for Han and Chewie they tore part of the card art off while being removed so I made sure to partially obscure them in my cabinet.

Oh man those days were priceless. Figures were a couple bucks a pop, and we weren't very well off, so I was allowed to pick one here and there. I would spread all the ones I wanted on the ground and spend as long as my mom would let me deciding which one to get lol

Awesome score Khev! Im sure I’ll walk out with the entire set when I find them eventually too. They look great in your display there!

Thanks Reefer! And yep I agree that as a kid even though the Kenner figures were cheap it always seemed a rare day indeed that I'd find a highly sought after figure *with* cash in hand to buy it or parents willingly to do so for me, lol.

They look great. What did you use for removing the stickers? Lighter fluid? Hair dryer?

Yeah, the one big Christmas item I got back then was I ordered the Imperial Troop Transporter through the mail from a Famous Monsters mag ad but my parents accidentally paid the fee and used the item number for the Falcon... so guess what showed up?:yess: The other cool memory was finding a carded Boba Fett in a tiny San Rafael toy store in 1979 before it had really widely released as a carded fig - tore that sucker right off the card (as a ghostly image of my adult self tried to slap the child me across the back of the head.):horror:lol

I was worried that using a "product" to remove the stickers would damage the super flimsy card backing so I just did it the old fashioned way, chipped at the edges with my thumbnail until I could lift the edge and slowly peel it back. Leia's came right off without a hitch so I got cocky and went a little too fast with Han, tearing some of the art off. But then I did it super slow for Chewie and some of his art came up with the sticker too. Seems to be a real crapshoot on how strong the adhesive is for each sticker. If you do it with your fingers like I did then my recommendation is just to do it as slowly as possible.

Luckily the faux weathering kind of blends with any mistakes you might make though, lol.

Nice!!!!!!! Glad that you found them. I felt so giddy looking in my cart seeing these figures on the cards. Reminded me of when my uncle brought my brothers and I the Jedi figures (1 of each available). Just the pure joy these bring is worth the $10 a pop.

I hung mine and now want to find all my favorite characters on vintage cards. These make a nice evolution for SW toys.

Removing the stickers was such a pain and I wish I knew the hair dryer trick before. Will use that with Tarkin.

Really looking forward to seeing Tarkin without the sticker. I'm really surprised this line wasn't solely about the vintage figs that should have been the way the Tarkin is - like a faux-vintage Sandtrooper or Han stormtrooper.

I wonder where this line is going? Will they do all 21 SW cards or just the first 12, and are they doing more new faux-vintage sculpts like Tarkin?

It seems like a goldmine with fans if they were to do a bunch of new faux-vintage sculpts but maybe that's too risky for a wider release line.
