There is a knack to it, have a look at my pics if you need ideas. Try heating the fingers with a hair dryer and then molding the fingers to whatever it is you need them to hold. This was why I got one Gremlin for each look, one of each of mine is the best at holding what I need them to.

Saw a post on FB by NECA that said the Gamer should be hitting Gamestop soon. You lucky people! Still have to wait till May to get him in the UK.

Up until I got the TOT life size Gremlin a couple years ago and the Neca ones recently, the only gremlin that I ever owned was the LJN Stripe when I was a kid.

For only around $25 bucks, I'm not gonna be complaining about these Neca ones a whole lot.:lol

I’ve still got that one too!

I finally have Stripe now to go with the lone standard Gremlin. The sculpt is amazing one these guys, particularly Stripe, but god damn the leg joints really take the wind out of your sails. Why even make ankle and heel joints if they will not move? I've had the standard Gremlin for a month now and the knees and heel/ankles absolutely refuse to move. Neca always deflates any excitement you might have for a release with a frustrating in-hand product.

I you need him to stand up then stiff legs are the least of your worries. Get him to stand and stay there and you have a winner.

i think the leg joints were intentionally manufactured this stiff to help them stand. i ran the leg joints on mine under very hot tap water for 30 seconds and they moved smoothly however I adjusted them. once posed and cooled down, they locked up as i posed them and didn't collapse. haven't had any problems with the three i have since. i hope the same solution works for you.

Yeah, I think you hit the nail on the head. All the reviewers kept moving them to show off the articulation, so they would free all the joints up, often too much. I said to most that the legs were meant to be stiff, and after theirs fell over they took my point. Mine are largely ok now, though I will glue them when I come to repaint them as I'm not going to do much, if anything, with the poses after that. Not having to worry about joints will also make them easier to paint.

The only one where I will free the legs is the Gamer as I want him to either sit or kneel.

New 2-pack of Christmas Caroler Gremlins. I have the regular and Gamer so far. Was going to pick up another regular Gremlin but may just wait and pick this up and mix it up with the accessories. $40 at BBTS.

Mmm, they haven't exactly been flying out as well as NECA hoped I don't think. This looks like another attempt to try and milk them before they drop them. They were a nice attempt but just didn't fully deliver when it came to it. I would actually have preferred some statues, they could have got all the props sitting right, varied poses and been quite cool. As action figures they just don't work somehow. The articulation is meagre and not well excecuted at critical points. I'm sure if reviewers had another look at them, now the hype of there being Gremlins figures has died down, they would be inclined to be less favourable than they first were.

If Kotobukiya were to do some then we'd really see something, as it is, I'm not sure we will see anyone else make anything.

I've got to say, respect to NECA for doing us a solid on the price, maybe weighing that they're straight rerelease with different accessories... or at least BBTS is doing us a favor, MSRP isn't great, I guess. At that price, I had no reason to NOT preorder.

**** handicapped statues.

Considering that, where I shop anyway, they're shelf warmers, you had every reason not to pre-order. As these are a regular release, you may find them on clearance for even less than your pre-order price.
