Yep same thing happen to me, broken tail piece....

DM%2001.jpg

Broken hair pieces on Storm and now this... XM is getting sloppy, they used to be rock solid on their packaging, not so much lately...

Well my worst fears happened. On unpacking I have found mine to be damaged. I have contacted Andy at heroes collectibles and send pics. I hope I get replacements sent. Totally gutted is an understatement.

I just got a reply from my contact from Singapore and basically they're going to put in a complaint with DHL even though there is no sign of any damage to the brown shipping box, so I doubt DHL is going to cover it... Since this is a grey market statue (meaning it's sold outside it's licensed area) XM might replace the part for you free of charge but they won't pay for any shipping and I doubt your contact will either, so basically your screwed unless you want to spend another $300+ in shipping fees to get another one and hope the parts don't break again....

It's the risk you take and I pretty much knew that ordering stuff from XM that doesn't have a world license.. That said, XM knew about this issue and although they tried a fix, it's pretty obvious they didn't do any real testing given both of us ended up with broken statues...

When I first started collecting XM statues they cost around $750 shipped, now they're costing around $1200+ shipped... Even though XM makes cool looking stuff I think I'm done with ordering anything from them without a world license… It's just not worth the risk if something breaks because your pretty much on your own... I think I'm just going to eat the NRD's I have with my other XM pre-orders...

The only good thing with the breakage is you can glue the cape part back on, nobody is going to notice it due to it being directly behind him...

Here's hoping you get a better response then I did....

Wow this is really bad, feel sorry for you folks. If they don't fix this for you guys Luke is my first and last XM piece.

My only concern is glueing is ok if you have it on display all the time but there's a good chance it could break off everytime you pack it away with the cape being so thin. The handle bar will be fine cause it's thick. I'm sorry to hear you have had the same issue. See what response I get about this.

Yeah out of 5 people who already recieved this statue and posted here , 3 cases were reported with broken part issue, that would be 60% rate holy **** :horror. I have not yet made final payment until i saw the responses from XM how to fix this case for unlucky souls here.

Since XM doesn't make any replacement parts with the original statues and have to make them from scratch, I'm hoping they will redesign the waist cape so it's a separate piece from the body and create a small box to ship it in to lower the costs of shipping...

The statue itself is amazing to look at (minus the breakage issue)…. It just sucks XM has gone silent on this issue and nobody knows what's going to happen...

Andy at heroes-collectibles has updated me and said XM will send me replacement parts for what is broke, but the factory where the statues are made is currently shut until early March. So a few weeks wait.

Is XM paying for he shipping also? keep us updated, I'm curious to see what happens..

I don't know what's happening between heroes-collectibles and XM but Andy said I won't be paying for shipping. So one of them is paying. To be honest it shouldn't cost much as its only mauls bottom half and one of the bike handles.

How heavy is this statue includes the shipping box guys ? My retailer informs me ~ 45kg :slap

Which reatailers in Singapore did you order from dan ? I ordered from playstore/Toys Industries - authorized reatailer of XM and will proceed with final payment this week to them. Very worry about breakage issue.

I hope you get it in one piece, there are a lot of reviewers out there that hasn't had any problems. So here's hoping for you!

Yeah i think 26kg should be right. I didnt trust the printed weightmeasurements on the box and weigh the empty box and it has already 11 kg.

Thank you.

My source just sent me an email said that XM had direct phone call with him today and explained they opened every single boxes and reinforced them, but they cannot guarantee 100% sure that the shipping box will survie rough air transporation or such that lead to breakage. However they promised to send replacement part if mine ever arrived damaged and thats just what I wanted to hear.
