Well..I don't like the tunic, don't like the hair coloring and something is off about the paint but I'm willing to wait until everything is in hand first because I was pleasantly surprised by Han. Worse comes to worst I will put the exclusive tunic and hat on him and call it a day.

Sideshow makes changes all the time without stating anything about it unless it's a dramatic change like not making Boba PF with polystone like other PFs, it's how it is.

I agree with folks that the seeming thinness of Luke's tunic is a concerning point for me, Leia's dress problems lay in the thinness of the material for one thing, it has no weight and doesn't lay on her as well as a heavier material would. In the SSC photos it looks to lay pretty well, we'll just have to see what happens in hand, but it is a point of concern.

This is pretty dramatic, imho. The tunic went from screen-accurate and high-end to being compared with Hasbro quality.

The tunic on the prototype? It at least LOOKED high-end (and very much screen accurate) in the pics, including hi-res. The new production tunic? Not at all. It looks like your typical (mass market) 12" figure material. That's my point.

It could be the actual camera shots,,, re the hair,,,,,but that Tunic, is not real impressive,,, I think I will just stick with this mock up that I have made....

Sure is, ..........I thought that I may aswell utilise the Yavin figure and mod him out in farm Boy clothing............Lucky that I did, now that I have seen the new farmboy shots..

Waitaminnit, you mean the head isn't repainted? That's the first shot I've seen where he actually looks like Luke! You must've got the light/angle just right.

I don't consider fabric changes dramatic because they're quite commonplace for SSC figures.

Actually, the head paint on this figure is pretty much what you see in the pic, I am rather happy with him like this, I did try this setup with the Jedi SS luke, but it just didnt have the same youthfull look.....

Yavin really isn't that terrible... he just gets a bad rap.
And seriouosly, 6 pages and no in-hand pictures... (no offense to PrimeClone) this is why image threads are started by whoever has the first pictures.
