i was actually surfing the web and seen my 1:6 3D printed Interceptor via google and here i am. i collect 1:6 figures esp Mad Max world and wanted to build an interceptor. i started scratch building one like my 1:6 scale MH-60L blackhawk...but found a guy who offered a 1:6 kit...took the chance and spent 800$ (yea crazy) waited almost a a year to get it. got it and started to build and it was kinda a mess. just wasn't what i had expected. (parts were heavily marred with printer lines, hood was not flat but had a Z shaped side profile, no way to make wheels roll, no engine block but had blower assy but hub assy was on wrong side, no engine bay detail, missing the cowl vent marks below windshield, out of scale trunk tanks with no detials..... ) soooo i said wtf and bought a Prusa MK4 and after seeing Gambody offered a Australian Ford Falcon XB.... played around and learned slicing via Prusa slicer and started to gut the kit i bough and printed gambody STL files for a pretty awesome Road Warrior Interceptor. i only used the roof, side quarters, front fenders and nose of the kit. the rest of the build is parts i printed from gambody. i did fabricate a metal frame and leaf springs for rear with adjustable shackles like on movie car. i did add LED's .....i dont have a beef with the guy who made the original kit but he was advertising my build pics as his "As supplied kit" and i called him out on it. i just wish i knew about Prusa MK4 and gambody interceptor files from the beginning lol but i chalk it up as a learning event....hell it got me into the 3D STL printing world. im now working on printing the gambody one in 1:6 after kit bashing the original one. thanks for letting me share my work.

here are some more pics on engine bay and the metal rear frame and leaf springs i made. the original kit i bought was really lacking in that area too. i tend to overdo stuff alot and metal was prob overkill but it was pretty easy to cut and weld =)

and my 1:1 Mad Max Fury Road Tribute car i made in 2015 ...its not an actual Australian Ford Falcon XB but a 71 Ford Torino i did custom build aka Torinoceptor. Desert pics are in Mojave Desert at Wasteland Weekend, last pic is being chased through desert by the "Dogs of War" (all the bad guys vehicles replicas from Road Warrior) i also made the movie set up functional "blower" turns on and off with the pull of the red switch on shifter...

Great job on the paint and weathering. Are there any pics of the interior? Can the doors open?
thanks! def love your scratch built one you are working on! unfortunately the kit just had doors that just sat in hole, which is one of the reasons i heavily modified the original kit. rare earth magnets hold it in place, but the 1:6 gam body one im printing now has functional doors like in the 1:12 one i printed
