David Hasselhoff is the one and only true Nick Fury.

Yeah, Thanos and his quest for the beautiful Infinity Stones to annihilate half the universe was just another example of a cheesy love story. :slap

I guess you miss the whole cringe worthy starlord and the green lady crappy love story sub plot that actually ruined the movie? They turned starlord into a raving lunatic who caused half of the universe to die because he was so upset about a green alien dying.

Not sure about that... but if it follows the other Marvel movie formula, the Punisher would come up against a villain who is basically his evil mirror image, he'd lose the fight (or have some mental/emotional issue) in the middle, then come back to win at the end.

It will follow the typical MCU formula where some female will appear in the movie so punisher can have someone to kiss then the will die and he will get revenge. Nothing will change as long as the weird looking Kevin guy remains in charge.

Yeah, having your genetic father, adopted father, and girlfriend die in a short period of time apparently is not enough to justify somebody having a bit of an emotional breakdown.

They established Star-Lord's personality really well throughout his appearances that fully justifies how he reacted on Titan.

I can write an essay about this, but I'm going to keep it short.

Mom dies, gets abducted, raised by space pirates. He is quick to react to his emotions because of his upbringing. He shoots Ego immediately after he tells him about his mom. He gets absurdly jealous of Thor. He cracks jokes instead of dealing with things. He's a punch first, ask questions later kind of person. That is very clear.

He's broken and flawed and hurting, just like the rest of the Guardians. That's what makes them interesting.

His biological father is a planet that killed his mom. His adoptive father just died. Gamora is one of the few people in the universe that he has left that he genuinely cares about.

His actions, while not justified, are perfectly understandable.

Uh she was a VERY hot green lady and the whole point of the movie was for Thanos to win. If it was not Starlord it would have been someone else.

I think anyone would have had the same reaction it was the same as Stark in Civil War

Emotional breakdown? He knows there were trillions of lives at steak and he did what he did? It actually makes sense to no one but stupid Hollywood and their apologists.

Why not? He had the same type of meltdown when the entire universe was at stake. Like MyenShi said, they've been pretty consistent with his character.

No his actions were totally rediculous. His family hhhhmmm half the universe hhhhmmm. Unless he is completely retarded then he literally the second biggest scumbag in the history of the universe. I noticed that no matter how poor a writing job is done in movies there is always some fan to smugly defend it.

It's an emotional reaction. If you have a child, mother, wife, someone you love and you thought someone had them hidden away someplace and then when you are face to face you find out they killed them you really honestly would not lose it? I know i would and would do far FAR worse than Starlord did.

I would make the Punisher look like a girl scout :lol

Guys.... what about a Silver Surfer-Starlord romance instead. Problem solved

Exactly. If that happened to me, I’d probably react the same way.The fate of the universe means nothing to me if my loved ones are gone. I didn’t fault SL at all for his very human and natural reaction.

What are people expecting? It's a movie in the serial story telling of a comic series. Certain plot points and beats have to be met. They aren't making Last of the Mohicans or something. I agree though that the reaction was keeping in line with the Star Lord they've built from the beginning. He reacted petulantly like you'd expect. I thought they did a good job of adding emotion to the scene and not making it just a plot point to move the story along. The movie is Infinity War, did you not expect Thanos to get loose from IM's plan?
