I'm not saying to not call them out, I'm saying WAIT till we have more problems then a handful of Superman statue pics, and one WW pic. A handful of pics is not a problem especially if it falls into the norms of expected errors occurred during mass production.

You totally glossed over their replacement by saying but. You acknowledged a positive and then immediately discounted the positive by asserting the 6 months is to long to wait. Anything after the word but is the point that a person is trying to get across, everything before that is there as fluff to soften the blow, thus glossing over.

I don’t need more examples to know WW has a seam at her neck. Even the photos of how it’s supposed to look are not satisfactory in my opinion.

I’m picking up Superman on Wednesday, and hoping for the best, but no one has reported satisfactory paint, and all but one have had the cape issue.

Incoming WALL OF TEXT

Chad and Debbie are great people. Nice, honest, hardworking, talented, and have good positive vibes and ambition. The non SP lines that TH has made are all really well done and they have a proven track record over the years of delivering what is promised. The SP line blew me away with being pretty much the only line we can count on to not only get quality product, but to get a classic, comic-inspired line up of a complete Justice League as well as so many other sub teams and background characters that have never really been done and that the bigger companies will just probably never do. I was never going to be all in, but I was looking to get about 24 or so characters and probably would have ended up with maybe 12 more than that in the end. Over the past year, though, my enthusiasm has waned a bit (not totally) because of the many things I’ve noted below. Despite this post, I’m still reserving judgement. I should get Superman soon and I’m waiting to see how they handle him and Wonder Woman. I’m really looking forward to Martian Manhunter. I think no matter what I’m getting the 7 Justice League + Hawkman/Hawkgirl, but if things don’t turn around a little bit over the next year, I’ll probably just keep it at the 9 and move on.

Keep in mind that nothing written here is done in anger or meant in any mean way or ‘hair’s on fire’ way, so please don’t try to read that into any of this. I like TH and am enthusiastic about their vision, I’m just a bit tamped down on their ability to acheive it. I also know that TH are aware of many of these things and I’m sure want to change/improve them going forward.

Some things that I’ve taken note of:

1. Unrealistic release dates/many delays on just about everything. Even after acknowledging how he underestimated the release, he still seems to not be able to ‘reign it in’ on FB live streams. Rightly or wrongly this leads to frustration/disappointment from customers and puts an unneccessary negative light on the whole deal.
2. Confusing terminology : “it’s here” can mean done at manufacturing/on the boat/at the dock/in customs/in the warehouse/up for preorder. Again, people hearing “it’s here” and then having to wait another month to get it can put a negativity that doesn’t need to be there.
3. Harley leaning issues. It was supposed to be looked at and taken care of before it ever went out, but it still happened to some.
4. Harley EX headsculpt issues. It was taken care of, but it shouldn’t have happened in the first place. With such a small operation, they might not be able to catch these things before it’s too late (WW seam, Supes paint/cape)
5. Messed up the $15 rewards.
6. Changing FB live times and days. Being inconsistent in communication can be as frustrating as bad communication.

Design choices:
1. Questionable smile on Supergirl Portrait.
2. Having Harley in a flying pose without a second point of connection.
3. **The decision to make a seam on WW neck. Existance of seamline (whether defective or not) on neck of Wonder Woman not known until too late. Should not be visible seamlines on statues at all, most collectors would agree.
4. The decision to not have an attachment point on the shoulders for superman’s cape. Not the same shape/design as the proto and fits poorly on some. (also, Chad says that all have been shipped out and he hasn’t heard hardly and bad feedback. All shipped out =/= everyone has them yet, so a bit premature)
5. Sloppy paint job on Superman. (Superman, one of the MAIN characters that needs to be perfect)

My general concerns going forward:

1. They are too understaffed to handle this much product and keep it on time and at the level of quality we are expecting.
2. Delays will continue.
3. Not sure they aren’t able to put the final finishing design elements in or test them properly to make these perfect and look like the protos.
4. We will be stuck with a Wonder Woman** with a seamline neck and a Superman with subpar paint and not so good cape because they won’t fix them to the level they need to be and won’t do another Wonder Woman or Superman for several years.
5. The inconsistancies and missteps will lead to this small company to struggle enough that it won’t be as expansive as the vision of a Bowen-esque line for DC, which will lead to even more people moving away and a downward spiral.

** I truly believe that they should make a new upper torso for Wonder Woman with the head attached and the hair as the removable part. All they would have to do is remake the two torsos with heads (reg and ex) and one hairpiece attachment that would work on both. There would be no need to redo the whole statue and all the hands/weapons/lower body/stand. With less than 250 EX and probably not too many regulars, it wouldn’t be a huge run, and I honestly wouldn’t even mind paying something to get it done, so that it is done right (the way it should have been).

In your opinion. Others have posted how great she is. However there is only one pic of the gaping seam so far, so no need for a uproar, or pitchforks and torches.

Superman, yeah there will probably be a issue with the cape, but as stated already, it will be handled, so again no need for a uproar, or to "call them out on it".

I’m not talking about the gaping seam. I’m talking about the pics showing how the seam is supposed to look.

Clearly, we should just agree to disagree. I’ll have to adjust my expectations for future releases.

I guess we will cause, the seam is perfectly fine to me. Easily displayed in such a way that it cant be seen.

I’ve slowly come around to accepting the removable headsculpt as a trade off for easily switching out torsos/bodices for the EX versions. However, the regular edition with only one torso/bodice should have included a seamless torso/headsculpt. Either way, I think the customers should have been informed of this design element ahead of time. The perfect time would have been the FB Live videos. As a fellow collector, Chad should have thought it was significant enough to mention because visible seams are deal breakers for a lot of us. I have come around to accepting it but for the cost, I don’t want to get into the habit of settling & compromising the quality I expect.

Batgirl in January. Cheetah I think is still in the sculpting phase, so probably not for awhile.

Why, so you actively push people to get the regular over the EX? If that were the case, I would have gladly skipped the EX to get the regular.

I couldn't care less about the switch out bodice emblem. The only reason I PO'd the EX was for the arms holding the sword and shield. But, I'll say this - the decision to put a neck seam on bare (non-textured skin, aka someone like Venom) skin was an incredibly poor choice.

I love Tweeterhead, and I’m buying most of this line, but let’s not pretend these problems are all meaningless. Sure, TH replaced the damaged Harley portraits, but it took 6 months. Should we expect the same long wait for replacement capes for Supes? Are those of us that enjoy looking at our statues up close just supposed to grin and bear the seam on Wonder Woman’s neck?

I’m happy to be a cheerleader for Tweeterhead when they deserve it, but the last few production reveals have not brought sunshine and rainbows.

Exactly :slap

Having a visible seam on a figures neck, however tightly fitted it may be, is akin to breaking the head off a "normal" statue and then gluing it back on , with no other attempt made to patch or mask the seam that results.

No one would think that was an ideal way to present it- and yet this is essentially how this piece was designed to be.

I can't believe Chad didn't have anyone, through the entire concept and design process, pull him aside and tell him why this was a bad idea. That any sense of win from offering an extra bodice emblem would be quickly overshadowed by a bigger issue with her head and neck.

Any news on Batgirl? The news of Green Lantern was great and all but I seem to recall Batgirl being promised in November.

Batgirl is ready to be shown. However, with the holidays and then there was an issue with Superman, Chad decided to hit the brakes on previewing too many things until a resolution was got with Supes. It was always going to be Green Lantern before Batgirl. She is worth the wait

I believe Black Adam and Flash are next in the line to be previewed after Batgirl. I'm also still waiting anxiously for the Perez Deathstroke to be shown.

I would prefer if Tweeterhead would get more statues into the hands of collectors before starting anymore new pre-orders.... Especially given they want on average around $150 NRD's for their statues..

Well with a turnaround of about 12 - 15 months from pre-order, and with the last Superpowers pre-order being on November 29, 2018, and the new pre-order will be this Thursday for Green Lantern, I really don't think the schedule and planning of upcoming statues is out of the ordinary for any company that wants to stay fresh. Why are you so grumpy?!

I'm new to Tweeterhead - I placed a deposit for Batman last year; when it's ready to ship will they contact you for the remaining balance? Their website is very hard to navigate and figure anything out...thanks for the help!

Yes, you'll get an email asking you to pay the balance. Apparently, they're rolling out a new website soon.
