What's the most obscure Toy line from the 80's and 90's you can think of?
Plus, do you have it and can you post pics of it?

I got my idea, but I've got to dig them out to photo them first.
 
battlebeasts - they battle for the fun of it....

i got them when i was a kid. You rubbed their chest and they revealed like water fire etc...

Battle beasts commerical from the 80s. Lol you gotta laugh at the simplicity of the adverts back then the kids saying ' i got WATAH, i got FIYAH, WATAH BEATS FIYAH'


Also correct me if im wrong but isn' the guy doing the voices for the battlebeasts the same guy as did the voice for the dinobots leader grimlock in the 80's transformers cartoon series?

I think Battlebeasts were common, most kids(including myself) had them in public school. I will say Air Raiders,StarCom and maybe Sectaurs..

Battlebeasts are soon being re-released as Minimates.

I'm gonna go with the aliens that had blue skin, red veins, and red eyes, but you pressed a button on their crotch and they would flip around their torsos so they look like slightly more normal humans. They had diamonds on their heads, I think. They were advertised in comics pretty heavily.

lmao air raiders? The song is hilarious and lol whats with the kid flying through the air backwards into the horizon at the end?? :rotfl Obscure indeed. Imagine trying to pitch that to kids nowadays..

The starcom vehicles are pretty cool for their time though.

I had a couple toys, I don't even know what they were. There was a green rabbit in a red space suit, and a robot whose head was a giant eyeball. Or maybe it was an alien in a space suit. I don't know what it was. :lol
 
I collected alot of stuff during the 80's. I can think of a couple that I never read of any talk about.

I know lol, i had the Tyrant Hawkwind..i think it was called..the blue-purplish jet..the missles launched with the force of air, the button worked as a pump to activate this(pretty sure).

Another rare line i would say, was the Rocky 3 figures that came out in 83..i had Clubber Lang on the right in the pic but, i think mine had baby blue shorts instead of white..it was long ago though, hard to remember.

Those look like Joe backpacks, but made by Mattel. . .hmm. . .

I remember both of those. The Food Fighters made me think of Army Ants for some reason.

Maybe it's been said already, but what was that insect toyline that had "features" where your hand in a glove was part of the vehicle or playset? I t was right after thundercats, and I think before transformers.

Not really that obscure.. I had those toys when I was little.
 
I can't remember what they were but I used to have these little GI-Joe sized guys who you could put into these mechs. The mechs had arms and legs and looked different and fired missiles and such. The figures would stand in them just like Ripley was in the Power Loader. That is the best reference I can think of. I wish I still had a few.
