Re: Petition for:RE5 BSAA Jill Valentine by Hot Toys

Can we change the thread title to STARS Jill Petition?!

I'm really excited about this figure. The face sculpt could use a little work, but overall I'm liking what I see. In fact, I think the sculpt is a little prettier than the actual model Jill's face is based on, but I wouldn't mind if they made it look a little more like Julia Voth

I am glad that BSAA is the version that we're definitely getting, but I would purchase Battle Suit Jill as well if they release her too. Like pretty much everyone else, I'd love to see figures from the entire series of games, but I'm very happy with the Resident Evil 5 line and feel that it is now complete, for the most part.

Here are the specs and all the pics of her:

Amanda Bynes is not bad. She still looks pretty young, even though she's the same age as me. I do enjoy this animated gif, though.

What I'm really hoping is that this figure is a huge hit and somehow spurs Hot Toys to expand the Video Game Masterpiece line with the full Resident Evil franchise and other games as well. Wishful thinking, I know. But a man can't help dreaming. I'd like to have decent Rebecca Chambers and Elena Fisher from Uncharted figures before I die.

Same here. I also hope HT expands their VG licenses beyond RE. I really hope they obtain the right to make Dead Space and Bioshock figures. A Level 3 and 5 suit Issac Clark with working LEDs on the HUD, Stasis Unit and Visor would be awesome and can you imagine what HT could do with a Big Daddy? :drool

I agree those would be very cool. Hot Toys' attention does seem to be nearly totally focused on movie properties. I can't say I blame them as that's where most of the money lies, but I'm a big fan of games, so I'd like to see them tackle some more video game properties.

I am glad that out of all the game series, they picked Resident Evil, as it's my favorite game franchise of all time.

I'm also glad they chose RE as it's my favorite VG series aswell. I just hope HT realizes there is still plenty of money to be made on VG licenses also. An MGS license for example would almost certainly be an instant gold mine (though I guess Medi holds the right to make 1/6 MGS stuff).

Hell yes, it would. I've got the Tiger Stripe and Squares Snakes by Medicom on order at Alter Ego Comics and they're not even that great. If Hot Toys got the license we'd have Cyborg Ninja with a light up eye and Snake would probably come with a cardboard box and every other weapon that he could come with. Don't even get me started on Vulcan Raven.

On the topic of Jill, I'm actually going to pay the entire figure off as soon as I pre-order it. I don't want anything in the future preventing me from having her.
