I watched the video, shared it, bought an "Action Kit" and even wrote up a lesson plan to go with it so I could use in my classes. The video pushes awareness more than it does sending in funds and I've spent $40 on dumber ____ than a kit that allows me to continue spreading the word. I'm shocked this went on for so long in plain sight and I love seeing the viral piece running wild. I hope they do catch him cynics aside and if people think it's a scam than don't send funds but that doesn't mean you can't spread the word.

LOLOL.

It seems like a scam to me. I would rather see a teacher educating his students on problems here rather than donating to a questionable cause.

Something doesn't seem right about this. As and American it actually saddens me that we take so much ____ for interfering with other countries. Yet citizens every day are donating their hard earned cash to causes to those same people that sometimes that hate us.

Maybe if I had $8,000,000 in donation money I could make a 30 minute video about why Americans should donate money to causes in the country. But I digress I don't. We our appreciated when we are shelling out money for "causes". That's about it.

Well said

I cant believe the negativity in here.

What is there to lose? Like Mike said, I blow hundreds of dollars on the stupidest ____. Whats another 100$ to possibly end this and one day tell my children I had some influence on changing a part of the world that cant change on its own. Whats our legacy? What positive influnce have any of had on this world? IPADS, TWITTER? UPORN?

Someone mentioned change your own part of the world, by all means go ahead, but do you?

The guy standing outside of my building having a smoke every mornng asking for change needs my help more than all these people??? Really?

In North America, the majority of people have the opportunity to better themselves or at least live a passable existence, can you say the same about these people?

If you dont believe any of this than move along, dont spew ignorance to support what you believe to be factual, when its far from the case.

I sure do. I donate hundreds to the united way every year and I'm proud to say I spent several hours working on siding in the ghetto helping to build a home for a family that needs a little extra help. I'll be damned if I'm not making sure my money isn't being put to good use. Enjoy your $30 donation and bracelet. :lecture

To be honest the people that are spewing ignorance are the people that haven't taken the time to actually research this. :lecture

And you should be proud, but Im sure your the exception and not the rule, wouldnt you agree?

I dont know a single person who does charity work, that doesnt do it for the tax deductions at the end of the year.

If this is such bull____, why would Oprah and Clooney be behind it?
Politcal Soapbox? Oprah needs more money?

And what ignorance is that?

So do people want American politicians and citizens to solve the world's problems or not? I'm confused. Every time we step in we're the devil. When we do nothing we're the devil.

It seems like a scam to me. I would rather see a teacher educating his students on problems here rather than donating to a questionable cause.

I can see that point clearly. The US has it's own laundry list of problems and it's own share of questionable issues. I mean one only has to look at the Michigan winner of the Lottery who lives on the lakeshore and still was collecting Food Stamps because she felt since she had no job (although had a Million) that she was owed it.

That's part of my lesson plan, the video is well done and quite striking, I'm happy to spread the word about a ruthless _______ who preys on children to keep himself in power. Something like that in that scale isn't exactly occurring here. Plenty of things are that are horrendous but that is a unique thing that needs awareness brought to it. I'm interested to see if the teenagers today would rather that people focus on problems here and not abroad.

As for myself I spent $40 on whim and in a school of 2000 if hanging a couple of posters and getting people asking and educating about it then for me it's money well spent.

Whats another 100$ to possibly end this and one day tell my children I had some influence on changing a part of the world that cant change on its own. Whats our legacy? What positive influnce have any of had on this world?

That's a big part of this. I saw the video a couple of days ago and looked at my son and daughter and got a strange chill down my back thinking what I would do if some _______ took them from my home forcefully and made them do these things and my heartstrings were pulled hard. I bought an action kit literally seconds after seeing while holding my son because the kids part of it really hit me hard. Seeing Jacob crying, seeing the kids displaced and the sheer number and was moved. If they take my $40 and keep it, then the poster I get, the stickers, the shirt will allow me to spread awareness and THAT is the important part, NOT the donations. It's getting Kony captured not sending cash to an organization. It's important to be educated on all the facts and the organization does leave some facts out but at it's root its about getting Kony.

Omg the resemblance.:horror. Dont you care about the people in africa ?

I just recently did research and this man has been doing this since the 70s. People have tried to stop him but he has child soldiers so that would be major casulties. Invisible children is a great cause but..... here just look at this.

Honestly and this may sound harsh but whatever. Famous people like to maintain their so called image. This is the new hot topic for them and obviously the other blind people.

I do not for one second mean to be insensitive to problems that other parts of the world have. Not one bit.

I do however take issue with being hated by other countries and called a murderer for removing tyrants and other numb nuts, only to be expected to then turn around and donate to causes monetarily.

I honestly believe the US should stay out of others affairs until the world wants to accept help.

If any topic bothers me as of late it's Syria. We should be there. Not fighting a so called tyrant baby killer that hasnt even been in the country for the past 6 years.

You can't say stay out of other's problems and then follow up with we should go to Syria, that doesn't make sense to me.

I've heard the arguments for Goverments of Inclusion where we cut all major ties with other countries and focus on homegrown 100% and they have merit and are sound but we can't have it both ways, either we get involved or we don't. I think Kony is a great cause for us to get involved in, realistically our military could leap in and get him without question I'm sure but I can also see where people would want resources pooled elsewhere.

To me there isn't a better cause just another cause. Kony is one that I think is very important, he is still doing this ____ in The Sudan and Congo just because he isn't in Uganda doesn't make him less dangerous it just makes people unaware of the facts.

For deeznuts. Please read.

But just like the actual campaign how much of what is written here is fact?

Somewhere in both sides lies the truth, and as Mike said if they take my money and run its so insignificant to me based on the upside.

Slightly off topic

I go to TRU, and they ask to donate 1$ to some sort of charity, which I do, but they insist on charging me 5 cents for the bag??

Sure I can. I meant if I think that we should be anywhere it should be Syria. It bothers me that we are not. However until appreciate I believe we should stay out. Again all I'm saying if America needs to help the in need outside of the country it would be there.
