Only for the folks in the US. But if you can get the FigureFun Selene catsuit off eBay I'd glady trade you for it straight up!
I understand what you are saying. This stuff is subjective to an extent. But some things are objective. For example, when you look at the before and after shots of the shoulder shimming mod you can see that more of the ribs on the neck are visible before the mod:

Before1_zpse6cff5e0.jpg
After2_zps329d4d83.jpg

I'm not saying that this is objectively better, but it is objectively different. All I was ever saying was that I am sure you can see the difference.

To me, this neck mod makes the neck look more natural, and sanding the front and sides gives him a more natural slight forward head posture. I fully admit that's personal preference.
I can honestly say that I wouldn't have noticed withot your arrow. In which case now I see what you're saying.
Alright, I'm caught up on updating page one I think. As more gets posted I may end up reorganizing some more, but I think it's all there right now. :peace

When I finally upload a new pic of the Medi mouth please replace that terrible phone pic of mine with the new one :lol

Really?! Then I guess I really was calling you a liar. :panic: :lol

Sorry for any misunderstanding. :1-1: And curse you for forcing me to post more arrows! :cuss :lol

I promise. :lol

Still working on getting the squint right...learning to sculpt as I go. Great project to learn on, heh.

Also removed the PERS mechanism and made each eye individually movable, which is great because he was a wee bit cross eyed. Have officially given up ripping the entire PERS plate out because it's scary.

That's done by removing the pins right? Just checking because I was planning on doing the same thing, stupid pers has one eye a bit lazy.

I got my second DX12 today and it's cross-eyed just like my first one.

Yeah. You can just push the pins out and pull the eyes and pegs off the mechanism or, if you're like me and prefer the blunt instrument way, clip the connectors off before you realize it would have been simpler to just push the pins out.

Trimmed alot off the medi mouth piece I had made earlier and repainted it. Sucks thar you can't really see the difference in skin tone values in the pics as I've learned some new techniques. But this is better that the first time. Skin was too orange/yellow the first go around and lips too purple. Still going to be selling it though

damn that sucks man. are you going to send it back? BBTS Customer Service is the best I've worked with next to Sideshow

Well, I took the plunge and painted the eyes on mine. It makes a surprising amount of difference. I don't think I'll sculpt new eyelids. I'm quite happy with how he looks.

Shimmed the shoulders, not sure how much difference that made, tbh. A bit, but prob not a lot, and she's wedged pretty tight.

Maglor - love, love, LOVE the ankle mod. It still doesn't totally fix the problem (nothing ever will), but god it makes it an absolute TON better. I couldn't even stand to look at them before. Great stuff.

With these few basic mods, and a custom cape, I reckon she looks pretty decent. :)

I'll have to post some pics at some point. :D

Does anyone know if anything happens if you put the boots you get with the DX 12 and put them on the TF Batsuit Begins figure?

Yeah, they look a bit too small/ thin. I tried but swapped them back. I just cover the Begins figure's legs with the cape coz they always look weird/ can never quite futz them.

Are you going to mod your second DX 12 Maglor?

Eventually. I'm gonna do a bunch of comparison shots first.

Guess you didn't watch the first video in this thread then. :lol

A big improvement. I'll swap that out on page 1 when I get home from work. :)

I don't think I'll be dealing with sending it back. I doubt I'll use that head for anything anyway.

So how'd you paint the eyes? Just a fine brush and steady hand? Any help would be appreciated :)

Thanks, yeah pushing sounds better.

Here's a couple of pics of the finished mods, I just did. The upper body armor, except for the chestpiece, is from DX02. I think the collar/shoulder area of the DX02 is more screen accurate, than the DX12. I especially like that the shoulder pads curve more on the DX02, like the movie suit. If you don't have a DX02, you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference :lol.
The under-layer of the shoulder pads are also finished, they're officially 2 piece, each.

Well done! I like it. :clap

I wish I had a DX02 to take parts from! That way I wouldn't have needed to do much work on the collar on mine. Nice job on the shoulder pads! :clap

Nice work! :hi5:

How did you make a complete bottom plate like that?

I did what Shortround did. You can use any other Bat's shoulder pads that you don't need, to make 'em (I used DX12's). You posted the mods on the first page of this thread dude.
FYI, the bottom layer of the pad does not go all the way up. The top ends about, just before the triangular area of the upper shoulder pad.

2/0 brush, nice bright light, Tamiya XF-1 acrylic paint.

I like acrylics for things like this because a cotton bud with Windex on it will simply remove the paint, wet or dry. :)
