I just want one fun bombastic but cohesive JL movie where they take on Darkseid.

I just want well developed characters on par with the animated series. I want the same drama and stakes as the animated shows. Crazy how the animated shows are still so great but the movies struggle

Uhm... we haven't even seen the first trailer... what the hell are you going on about?
Besides, I said I think it's a ballsy move, I have no idea whether it'll work.

There is plenty of behind the scenes stuff already if you bother to look. Gunn saying how different it?s gonna be, cut to scene of Harley spinning in a circle shooting, 2 superhero knee falls, and explosions everywhere? Yeah groundbreaking.

Look, we were talking about the DCEU and whether or not WB/Snyder had a plan mapped out for it. My argument is that Snyder did indeed have a plan, but things went awry and now it seems WB is going in an interesting (ballsy IMHO) direction with this multiverse thing.
And you keep going on about SS2... Fine, it will obviously make part of this multiverse, but (again) we've only seen some BTS stuff. If that's enough to make you think it's going to be terrible and means WB's new approach to the DCEU is another failure, well, good for you.
I just find it odd that you keep bringing up SS2 as proof that none of this is "groundbreaking", which I never said it was.

SS1 extended cut is a guilty pleasure of mine I can watch Margot bend over all day long lol

Plus Will Smith is always charismatic.

I was always very optimistic about the Snyder Cut eventually being released, it happened a lot sooner than I thought, so I'm optimistic that this might happen, but it's a very big "if" depending on how well received the Snyder Cut is. How ill they gauge the success? By subscriptions? Critical acclaim (that seems a tough one)?

I don't think subscriptions will give them an accurate assessment, as I believe existing HBO Now subscriptions just converted to HBO Max. I use my son's account, and when I checked it out last night it had switched to the HBO Max name (and I had no problems accessing it). Whatever their criteria hopefully it's successful enough that they give us JL2, especially if the Darkseid story arc isn't completed in JL1. Snyder deserves the chance to finish that story. Plus the last thing we need is more bitching & moaning about what could have been.

If the Darkseid story is completed in JL1, I wouldn't mind if they gave another director a chance with JL2.

I think DC is moving along nicely now. Snyder made frankly some pretty terrible movies, and the executives as WB were creatively bankrupt and uninspired (they did not have a Feige to get a consistent vision.)

I think its fine that Snyder can make an edit of the film the way he and Chris Terrio wrote it. Saying that sound just terrible to me, but that is my opinion and there are plenty of people that adore everything Snyder, so hopefully they get what they want. There are plenty of people too that love everything JJ Abram, and if they keep getting more TROS type content, best wishes.

But DC movies are starting to get creative and may one day reach the quality levels its animation has reached. That is what I am hopeful for. Show Batman and Superman to be two philosophically opposed beings, but with a similar goal and find a way to make it work.

Warner Media the corporate head of WB has now released a statement on Fisher pretty much saying he is making stuff up and refusing to cooperate with the independent investigation into the matter.

He is nuts lol

He is about to ruin the Snyder Cut.
