Always The Shining , Alien , The Thing and Halloween for me though , the best horror movies ever made imo.

Absolutely great thread, and I've been trying to find the time to assemble my list on my own anyway. Strangely, my list is very similar to:

Frankenstein Legacy collection
Dracula Legacy Collection

I want to organize all the Universal Legacy releases by their original release date, and follow them chronologically this year. Otherwise my Halloween night is:

1. Halloween
2. Trick r' Treat
3. The Walking Dead premier on AMC at 10 PM or previously DVRed depending on how AMC shows things on the West Coast feed. I actually took the day off for Halloween this year, and yes I know it's on Sunday, but I work in a casino.

That show has led to me liquidating my entire comic book collection, save a few gems and memorable childhood prizes which I will keep forever. Also, I try to dump a few things each week from every room so things don't start to pile up.

Just bought The Orphan on blu for $10 at amazon, trying to load up on Horror.

Unfortunately, my local video store is going out of business. They are selling all their dvds for 4.99 or 25 for 100. It was a good place to get low budget or older stuff since blockbuster only carries copies of whatever piece of ____ movie is out now.

Great thread. Im determined to one day to go American to celebrate Halloween as it seems to be less and less of a tradition over here in england. Sad as its my favourite holiday.

Anyway my list will surely comprise of:

Firday 13th (not sure which one, probably a few in the series)

And probably more. I recently watched Candyman for the first time in years and wouldnt mind re-watching the sequels as i dont really remember them. Might see if i can hunt them down cheap.

Also, a tradition with me, i'll have to watch the simpsons treehouse of horror episodes. I've done that every year since i was a kid.
