Love the character but for me this is a swing and a miss for XM. It is better than what SS did with their 1/4 scale DD.

Right now it is a bit odd looking, but they'll probably release tweaked images then the eventual paint. Love the pic El Mule posted though, great shot of hornhead.

I think it looks pretty sweet.... I love the modern update to the comic costumes.... The whole spandex thing was fine for the 50's-80's, but for modern times they look rather cheesy and outdated.... Besides those who want a more classic outfit can buy SS version....

This is me and most XM stuff. That overwhelming need to "add" to every costume and make it unnecessarily busy.

What I'm saying is all these costumes have a 50's-80's vibe, they desperately need an update... Even though he might be still wearing spandex today doesn't mean it doesn't need an update.... I'm glad XM is doing something to make their statues stand out from the rest of the crowd, putting their own touch to it... As I said before there are other options for those who want the spandex look, SS for example...

Surprisingly, I don't like a single element of this and I think Sideshow's is actually better. Pretty disappointed to be honest.

I think it depends on how the Costume is portrayed by the artist. I think Lee Bermejo's version of the actual Daredevil outfit looks great.

It just shows that you can take what's there and make it look good without wholesale changes, something that is sometimes needed so the characters iconic look isn't lost just for the sake of "modernizing". Daredevil isn't a paramilitary combat specialist with clunky boots, SWAT pants and thousand buckles and pouches(yes that's a Liefeld jab, I gotta get them in where I can). Just my opinion though.

I really hope XM does tweak this more. It looks good so far, but it can be better. I've been waiting for this piece ...and waiting on Elektra as well.

More muscles is exactly what he DOESN"T need. He's acrobatic, athletic, and agile and muscles contradicts that.

I agree with all the comments about his clunky boots, extra buckles, and military style pants. That's not who DD is.

I think the new look is badass, I like all the details, adds a lot of character to the statue, if he wore plan spandex which has no details to it, would you really want to spend $800 for it? It would be very simple looking.... All the small details XM adds to their statues helps justify the price IMO.
