Ryan Reynolds would completely throw that theory out of the window as he is still under sequel contracts with DC/WB for Green Lantern and still under sequel options with Marvel for Deadpool. The only thing that would hinder is if she was contractually obligated to film during the WW filming time with a Marvel project but other than that, all the actresses are open game from any Marvel film.

That's assuming they keep Reynolds on as GL. Be smart if they did though, considering they can actually coattail the success of Deadpool.

Height is irrelevant when you're dealing with Hollywood. Look at Hemsworth as Thor (where he's huge). And again as Huntsman in the recent Snow White and the Huntsman (where he's puny). You can make anyone taller or shorter as the script requires.

Given they are fasttracking this, his chances of retaining the ring are really high. Which also allows for the GL universe to keep Mark Strong which I'm all for.

Or you could look at any one of Tom Cruise's flicks. Or that RDJ is 5'8" and Paltrow 5'10" and yet Tony stood taller than Pepper no problem.

Aren't they making a GL2 movie knowing that Mark Strong will be the next villain?? Or is that no longer in the works because of the poor results?

If a rush job from WB is the only way to keep Reynolds as GL for one more film then that at least would be something positive. Remember that there are some studios out there that consider Channing Tatum to be a "rising star." :monkey1

One of her attributes is her stature. You could get away with someone at 5'10". She has to at least look like an amazon.

It was never confirmed in the first place. The whole yellow ring ordeal was a last minute fanboy nod. It was WB's attempt to do something like Marvel. There was actual work done on the sequel in terms of scripting when WB thought it'd be a blockbuster but after the receipts it sort of halted. Lively, Strong, Reynolds and even Rush and Duncan all have sequel clauses that are still active.

It's not the only way but it certainly seems the way. There was talk of going The Wolverine route where they'll simply ignore the first film happened other than in passing references and 'start' fresh without having to go origin with the same cast (which is the protocol for the Wolverine sequel AND the Deadpool flick) but I don't seem them overhauling everything for this really.

Gina Carano still gets my vote. Beautiful and she kick the ____ out of you. WB should really look no farther.

Steven Soderbergh seemed to think so as did the praises Ewan McGregor and Michael Fassbender for her role in Haywire.

Can she act?

She can act decent enough in my opinion. Nothing Oscar worthy, but she can get the job done. Then again, her role in Haywire wasn't really built to show off her acting ability, just the ability for her to beat the hell out of any man who came across her :lol

Otherwise, we could be stuck with something like this....

She was certainly the part in Haywire but she could do with some more acting classes. Isn't she appearing in the next Fast and Furious movie?
