I liked both series, but I'm a monster guy, and LOTR had much cooler ones, so I got LOTR

Star Wars all the way. And I LOVE Lord of the Rings but Star Wars is absolutely a timeless classic whos story will be told for generations to come. Ultimate story of Good vs. Evil thats as complex as you make it and simple for children to understand. And lets not forget the greatest villain in film history, Darth Vader

LOTR is good... but the SW OT is better.
