When Harry and Lloyd pass up the opportunity to be the oil boys for the national bikini tour, not once, but twice in Dumb and Dumber.

Add this to the list.

And speaking of Hachiko, although it's not a movie...the Futurama episode Jurassic Bark always gets me.

You seem to have a Nolan movie scene for every occasion. Stuck on a desert island you'd watch Batman, favourite opening scenes: batman, favourite ending scenes: batman, scenes that make you laugh: batman, have two hours to live: watch batman, movie to take a dump to: batman, best thing in the history of mankind: batman

:lol :lol

Is there anything that can't be applied to nolans Batman?

That scene kills me. I haven't been able to watch the film since I saw it in the theaters...I know it will just make me a blubbering mess again.

Another tear jerker:
When Gandalf falls - and the scene afterwards with the Fellowship crying.

In the extended version of ROTK - when Eomer is walking through the field of fallen men and sees his sister, Eowyn lying there. He rushes over to her, holds her in his arms and screams/cries.

Saving Private Ryan - many scenes - but especially the ending.

Some video games really made me tear up -

Ending of Red Dead Redemption

Mordin's sacrifice in Mass Effect 3
The thought that I might have also lost Grunt in Mass Effect 3.

What a terrible experience. I just sat there in front of the TV; as the credits rolled, so did the tears, shocked more than sad.

The scene in Saving Private Ryan where Mellish gets that knife in the chest was tough to watch ... though I ended up more pissed off at the weenie on the staircase than sad.

I can't believe I forgot about that one. :slap

The "My friends, you bow to no one." scene from ROTK gets me, too. :monkey2

And probably most of Love Actually. I'm just a softie at heart. :monkey2

I can't say I shed a tear, but Boromir's death is a great one. I'd say better and more emotional than Gandalf's. Hell, I'd say it's probably the most heroic and emotional moment in all three films. It's a fantastic fight sequence and emotional scene.
