Re: Hot Toys – MIS12 -1/6th scale Bruce Lee Collectible Figure (In Casual Wear)

Let's see, best guess at MSRP is say, $145, so sculpt would have to be less than $65 for you to decide to buy the boxed figure... but then there's shipping. You're in Canada, so assuming you are getting this from a local online store, postage for the boxed figure would be what, $15-20? In which case the figure with shipping comes to $160-165, meaning the sculpt would have to be $80-85 including shipping for you to go with the boxed figure. Shipping for the head would either be free or around $5, so let's say it'd come to $70, $75 at a stretch.

My bet is there'll be quite a few of these heads floating around in the short term, so I'd be surprised if a head on its own set you back $80-85; so by these numbers it seems more than likely you'll be going with the head sculpt only :)

Whew.

Huh, interesting calculation.
Still, hard to resist another figure as well.:slap That chair and clothes look interesting as well.:gah:

Don't be surprise to see any of the head sculpts go for $100 bucks, on ebay.

I like how the figure looks! So retro 60-70s i suppose.
Definitely must-have for any fans! But easily pass for me...

If you think $140-150 is a super great price Jengo, can I interest you in this?

*... oh, I missed your post in the other thread where you said you could get it from your local for $128. Oh well, it was mildly amusing while it lasted :monkey1

lol whats with that bridge juan? :slap I think the value is really good with that price, even 140$ the suit and every parts were crafted beautifully, well, IMHO :)

the best thing about this Bruce Lee, I hope hot toys would apply the muscular BL for this release, so we dont need to purchase the EX body (in case u missed it, as happened to me)

No arguments about the quality Jengo, but while $140 is a fair price, it's by no stretch really good value imo. Compared with other recent releases at a comparable price point this figure does just ok.

That's considering this figure on its own - for hopeless Bruce Lee tarts like myself, for whom buying both MIS figures is a no brainer, then we're lumped with two identical head sculpts for $280. Definitely not value for money when stacked up against the DX.

But yeah, I love the head sculpt we're getting, and the tailoring looks immaculate - and I dig both chairs on offer. You're right about the body, it's great that HT are putting more of these on the market, which they wouldn't have been able to do had the two figures been bundled up in one boxed set.

Re: Hot Toys – MIS12 -1/6th scale Bruce Lee Collectible Figure (In Casual Wear)

I got ur point juan, yeah somehow its true.. 280$ for identical releases with only different acc's, its weird that they're not put both of the clothes set into a single boxset.. at least the price would be more cheaper... just like Barney ross...

I think they're trying to "kill" someone.. I mean.. it's their competitor which releasing the same concept figure lol.. or using the competitors item to gain more profit.. I dunno..

I think buying them all should be okay, the price would be much higher someday.. its a "plastic gold" lol

I wonder how this smiling sculpt will look with The deluxe non-stealth clothes.

P.S. The above pictures do actually look like movie stills. Mind blowing.

Re: Hot Toys – MIS12 -1/6th scale Bruce Lee Collectible Figure (In Casual Wear)

Did you preordered ?, I did on both, just in case, but still looking for a cheaper source, maybe cornerstorecomics, they are always wee bit cheaper than BBTS.

Yeh, me too - I paid up-front for both Bruces at Angolz, but I'm keeping BBTS as a back-up. BBTS always get their stock in later than everyone else, so I'll hang onto the preorders until I know Angolz come through. The last time I ordered from Angolz they returned my money 'cause the figure was sold out - but there was a rush on that particular figure, so I don't think I'll be unlucky with pre-ordered figures.

Angolz came in at $316 shipped, which is as good as it gets for we aussies I think ($132 +$26 shipping each fig)
