Tool (band) Fans Post Here!!!!!

Ive seen Maynard give 2 reasons for playing shows with his back tothe audience.
- Camera flashes. He cant stand them during a show. Says it breaks his focus / intimacy of the performance
- APC shows he was just angry at kids moshing so he played several shows facing the back as well.

He also says he used to dress up / paint himself up cause he didnt want to be recognized in the public when he's out just being a father to his son Devo.
The entire band is completely all about their music and the art of it and dont want to be celebrities themselves.

Prison Sex would be my first choice of sculpts based from art.

I doubt theyd stand much of a chance either, but you never know.
If a lot of SS themselves are fans we could be lucky enough.

would be a dream for them to do then entire band in the style from their Revolver cover.

Not a huge fan of this band, but I saw them in concert a few years ago, and I have to say--those bastards can put on a show. Apart from some jazz stuff that I've seen, I think they provided the second most "entertaining" performance that I have seen in a concert, after Ben Folds Five.

I did think it was weird that the singer never faced the crowd, though. I thought he was being a bit too "artsy," but y'know, if I were a singer, I probably would want to look away from the lights and stuff, too. Maybe he gets migraines like I do

Weirdest part of the show, though, he started a chant where everyone was saying something along the lines of, "don't conform, be your own person," and I thought he was trying to trick everyone in the audience to conform by doing this. And he succeeded.

maynard is a trip no doubt. i've seen them several times & in one show he was telling the crowd "just consider us your back ground porno music".........then he yells "ONE , TWO, THREE......EVERYONE START F'.........NG."
i laughed pretty hard at that.

Big fan of this band, I love almost all there albums from 10,000 Days, Aenima, Lateralus, Opiate, Salival, Tool (Demo) and Undertow. I would have to say that my favortie song(s) would be when I first heard them in high school "Sober" and the later stuff from 10,000 Days "Rosetta Stoned"

I have never been to a concert and my other half really doesn't like that type of music but I listen to it anyways but that's the primary reason I haven't gone to a concert yet. I will someday.

Sadly, I had to choose MJ, with the hope that Thriller will get some justice one of these days. I'm shocked that Cher is beating Elvis

Hopefully ass-less pants Cher PF is heading our way.

I would personally prefer Tom Waits, the Police, or Thelonious Monk over any of those.
