I vaguely remember one of the DD comics had him biting off someone's nose or ear during an interrogation.

Through his mask? Or did he take it off/pull it up first?

Either way, that is impressive. But I can't see him topping Snake Eyes. So he gets the #2 spot for me

Snake Eyes all the way but for a second I'd say Duke. He's the Captain America of the team. He took out Serpentor in the movie, the "Yo Joe!" is his voice.

Mercer comes to mind as well. He's the only guy, besides Storm Shadow, to ever defect from Cobra. Former Viper turned Joe? Can't miss!

And Sgt Slaughter keeps him in check

Marvel put him there, and that goes without saying as well.

As for Stormshadow, he may have be part of Cobra, but for his own reasons, not because he believed in Cobra.
