A Queens high school sent a student home Tuesday, saying her “I enjoy ******” T-shirt was a distraction — but the bisexual teen says administrators are trouncing her free speech.

And her mother is on her side.

Brianna Demato, 15, of Woodhaven, wore the explicit “Enjoy Coke”-style T-shirt to Newtown High School Tuesday — and said she was sent home when she refused to change.

“It’s hypocritical,” said Brianna, who insisted she’s worn the flirty shirt to school dozens of times without incident. “They use the word in class — why can’t I, on a shirt?”

The idealistic teen’s conflict with administrators started at lunch when a dean spotted the message written on her cherry-red shirt.

Brianna said she was hauled into an assistant principal’s office, where she was given a choice: Change the shirt or go home.

She refused to change, so a dean called her mother — but Brianna’s mom, Cathy Demato, took her daughter’s side. She rushed to school to defend her child — and make a point.

“They’re discriminating against Brianna. They pulled her out of class for nothing,” seethed Demato, 39. “She’s not hurting anyone. It’s her right to wear that shirt.”

Demato told administrators her daughter’s ****** shirt should stay — but they disagreed. The irate mom said a dean called school safety agents to escort them off campus.

Later, school officials told Demato that if she gave her daughter a different shirt, the girl would be allowed to return to class.

Otherwise, Brianna will be given an instructional workbook with tasks to complete in a separate room, away from other students.

The irate mom vowed not to back down.

“(Wednesday) she’s wearing a shirt that says ‘I’m the B---h From Down the Block,’ ” Demato said. “The message is, she can wear whatever she wants.”

Education Department officials said administrators at Brianna’s school didn’t kick her out, but the pair left on their own.

Either way, school officials have the authority to keep the girl out of class for as long as they want, if they disagree with her outfit.

“The language on the shirt was likely to cause disruption and the language is inappropriate for school,” said agency spokeswoman Margie Feinberg.

Newtown High Principal John Ficalora declined to comment.

Some of Brianna’s schoolmates thought the gynocentric duds went too far.

“I wouldn’t want my kids wearing a shirt like that,” said junior Leann Roman, 16. “Go to the gay parade like that. Don’t go to school like that.”

But others thought the shirt was no big deal.

“I have a lot of friends that wear shirts that are worse than that,” said senior Edward Carmnatty, 17. “They don’t get sent home.”

Demato insisted that her daughter’s clothes aren’t a distraction.

“You can’t stop somebody from being who they are,” she said. “My daughter is whoever she wants to be.”

I wore a Kill "Em All, Let God sort 'Em out shirt to school and they called my mom and she brought another shirt for me to wear. I had no choice but to change.

It sucked, but unfortunately, they set the dress code, and that's that. This girl worse this shirt deliberately to stir up controversy and conflict out of some misguided motivation to achieve social change. She failed.
She needs to get her spoiled entitled self under control and get with reality.

It seems extremely convenient to like ****** when she already has one. I guess she can always be satisfied. Maybe she needs another t shirt that says: "I enjoy yoga"
Perhaps she could have one that says, "If I was better at yoga, I'd never leave the house"

i bet this would change if some stupid fool expressed his/her right to wear a "God hates *****s" shirt :lecture

Well, there's a kid who's going to grow up expecting the world to conform to her. Good job, mom.

teenagers always do stupid things but somebody needs to give the mom a spanking. it's school people kids are there to learn. obviously that shirt is going to be a distraction.
:horse

Would have been better if she got a tattoo of Krang in her stomach and wore a midriff showing t-shirt.

loser mom and loser daughter. meh.

and she is going to be a heffer so she should wear big, loose clothing.

Only hot women should be allowed to wear that, and it should be mandatory for all of them....

Whether someone is hot is up to the individual.

For example, I think you're hot enough to wear your "I love big pee pees" shirt. But I'm sure there would be some who wouldn't think so.

Don't judge! :lecture

This is why I support all schools to have school uniforms.

Yeah I think I agree. Didn't like it when I was in school of course but in hindsight I can see why my schools required it, loads of reasons when you think about it.

Mind you some schools could take the uniform code stupidly serious where kids were getting in trouble for silly reasons that you just wondered...why did that matter that he was wearing runners with his uniform instead of black shoes. Really, who did it effect.

Bound to be a "315 no self-esteem"....

She should have just tattoo'd "ATTENTION WHORE" on her forehead.

That's has to do with allowing one rule to get broken, then they'll just keep pushing it.

Though we have uniforms now. They had a dress code rule a long time ago about wording on shirts. They stopped them all together. You could only have t-shirt with our school sports team or school logos, that's it because kids were wearing suggestive things and beer and cigarette logos.
