This is excellent news.
I'm reading this as the new hardcover deluxe editions are coming out. The 80s Anime is a bit dated, and a modern update will hopefully be a bit more graphic with the exploding heads and limbs.

It's great to see that they're using genuine leather, rather than crappy pleather, so it won't peel and degrade.

are the jackets real leather or pleather? real as in full grain/top grain, not recycled leather mixed with synthetic materials.

genuine leather, the ones printed on walmart belts and wallets, do peel and sooner than pleather. because they mix minced real leather with synthetic materials which bonds worse than full pleather.

easy way to tell is the underside should be suede.

The Storm Collectibles website says "genuine sheepskin leather", so assuming it is actually just leather, then it won't peel, but of course if it is a leather blend as per Walmart belts, then it probably will disintegrate. There's no real way to know right now, unless they put a "100%" in front.

It is much better than the RAH, although it has many problems such as too big eyes, too thick in the lower body, thick leather, and no mobility in the ankles.
