I think I'd rather spend an extra $300 & get BOTH 3P0 & R2 PFs.
I am hopeful that R1 will be a good movie, but I ain't buyin nothin till I see it. I did the same with Ep. VII (minus a T-shirt or two). That policy saved me a bunch of $$$!

It's cool and yes the payments start in May but ugh I'll think for a long while but at least I'll just be finishing off Voltron.
I honestly thought I'd see a Phasma first, at least paying 5 bills for her is worth it for me more than this. Plus Rey is on the way.
If they just put out a list for the year or 2 of PO dates and costs it would make it easier to plan. If there was a way to plan it would not be so bad. I don't want this overlapping with a better thing or ruining it.
Example: I POd Vader the they delayed HT Phasma so when my Ren and NO Trooper started I had already POd the Sandy so when Vaders last payment hit I had it with Phasma and Ren. Toss in the gold trooper and R2 and I was like great. Luckily which I didn't know you can assign different payments to each item which then I just used cash on some and credit on the others. In the end I pay them off before I get it but not being able to know months in advance sux.
You can say well you know the payments don't start till May but the next PO you want could start now or May. They just need to be a little helpful and put out info earlier.
I'm still looking for the new frozen Han, Legendary Storm and when are they gonna bring out the Leg Vader. I need to know all this.
Lastly yes the price is insanely too much. Cool, not cool is not reason enough. The price at $400 is as high as it should be. I feel like getting my Sandy at $400 is the last we will see of that and I feel like while some hate it it's just as much work as this one.

I dunno. Sometime the limits must get to you.
I mean after seeing it next to the Boba Fett I'm may get one to join mine. Death Trooper is cool but I'm sure if I order it I'll regret it when it's due while I'm paying off or wanting something else.

Okay, you know what? I'm going to get some stuff off my chest. I know I'm basically shouting into the void and nothing I say here is going to have any impact on the production pipeline, but screw it, it'll feel good to type haha.

Deathtroopers? Look, you can only do so many characters from every franchise and so there's no way to please everyone. But I think we can all agree that, while we're happy to see you revealing a piece around the same time as the film it's based on is released, you still haven't caught up on the other ones yet!
We still have barely anything from The Force Awakens. Even worse, we don't have updates of the original trio! It's been years and those pieces are so horribly out of date they look out of place with the rest of your stuff. We need Luke, Leia, and Han. Which designs? Original trilogy, new trilogy--doesn't matter! Between the original trio and the new one, they've only announced Rey. We're one for six on heroes. Hell, if you include the prequel trilogy we're two for nine--if you are generous in your assessment of the Anakin PF, of course. Instead, they are doing absolutely NOTHING but villains. Vader, Maul, Kylo, Stormtrooper, Boba, Jango, Deathtroopers...
Now a lot of those are key characters (some of which were needed updates themselves). But deathtroopers aren't. And between Kylo, Vader, and Maul--my collection can only have so much red and black before I start to need more variety. I just don't get it. I'm supremely excited for Rey, but I don't understand why Sideshow hasn't given serious attention to any of the lead characters in the franchise. Do villains really sell that much better? If you put those nine characters up for sale, it's pretty much guaranteed that I would buy at least seven: Rey, Finn, Poe, Luke, Han, Leia, and Obi-Wan. You could probably skip Padme and Anakin given their lack of popularity (at lease compared to the others), but I'd probably grab them too if I could swing it. I'm aware I'm in the minority on that, but that's certainly not the case with the other seven which are pretty much guaranteed to sell (if you stop pricing more and more people out of the hobby with every release, that is). Don't get me wrong. Of course I want the iconic villains. But I also want my childhood heroes.

Oh I agree, sideshow can be like Gollum and the one ring, obsessed with certain lineups to the point they become monsters, look at Marvel and DC. I am quiet happy to have in my collection from star wars, Boba Fett, Vader and Kylorenn, that is enough for me to satisfy my star wars sideshow PF needs

Yeah no way. I'm already paying through the nose on Kylo Ren. Thankfully I had around $70 in points saved to put toward it, otherwise I wouldn't have pulled the trigger on it.
This whole $500+ pricepoint is just too much, especially on a non-main role character. And definitely while I appreciate they are keeping up with the times on THIS one coinciding with the movie release, we have no idea if it's worth getting right now and would have been better timed about a week after film release. I don't buy that far in advance having the movie sight unseen.

Looks like the PFs from the new SW-Disney movies will be even more overpriced than the regular ones. That's weird cause Hot Toys figures from these IPs aren't more expensive than the others.

Yeah something is off about his hand, the thumb is pretty weirdly positioned too >< You could do that without anything broken, but it's certainly not going to be conformable or any way to hold a gun :<
Sideblow should put up a vote here and they'll see what people want. They also should come here and see people are not happy with prices but since there are no other options you are stuck.

Just saw the HT 1/6 Death Trooper., now that will be on my shelf eventually for $234 way before that PF.
Not sure why but the HT photos look fantastic in comparison. Maybe it's the poses or he's a tad thicker just not sure.
Helmet lights up too but prolly the PF will as well.

The HT one in 1/6th does indeed look better than this, but it is unfortunately 1/6th

While true I'm just saying its a cheaper, better looking option especially for those who find it weird they put this out in PF. Being unfortunate for it being 1/6 is only if you like the PF or only buy that scale.
I purchase both so I guess the HT is something I can swing now because paying $600 for the PF is crazy until I see what else comes out. If this was it for the next year is buy it but if I PO this tomorrow a Phasma PF or some other PF will come out.
I don't mind overlapping payments but man if we could only rearrange the months to our liking.
